Gerrard is having a great game picking some brilliant passes that are starting our attacks.

I'm loving Jose, Skrtel and Johnston.

Sterling appears to be waking up, Hendo is workman enough, if nothing special. Allen isn't doing too much

Gerrard..... lead boots / too old / can't be arsed? Certainly the weakest part of the attack.

Downing, please leave, you are just ****e. Surely Flanno, Robbo are better than you?

Just noticed a few negative posts on Gerrard, I completely disagree. Gerrard has driven us forward with some great passes. Other than Enrique our best player in that half.

  6. He is getting involved in the attacks but keeps slowing it down or hitting the Roy of the Rovers pass! He isn't tracking back either.

If you want to take Allen off it has to be for Sahin, unless you want Hendo to hold on his own.

Sure he's picking some nice passes...but he's contributing nothing to the defensive part of the game, Swansea are tearing through us when they get the ball. Luckily, Skrtel is having a belter of a game so far.

I'd put Hendo further back and move Gerrard behind Suarez, personally, so he doesn't have to track back so much and we'd be tighter in the centre.

I thought his role today was further forward, his passing has been great imo. Hope he gets a goal.

Agreed, he is picking good passes, but is giving them opportunities on the counter when he goes forward.

  11. In no way should we be taking Allen off, same with Henderson. Gerrard is the weakest of the midfield trio, Downing is the only one playing worse IMO <ok>

Enrique is pretty much playing as left winger and left back...

Id leave it like this for 15, then Assaidi for Downing after 15, then maybe Suso for JH after another 10

    Swansea City Substitution.

Itay Shechter comes off to be replaced by Ki-Sung-Yeung.

If Joe Cole does what he did on Thursday, I'd welcome him on.

He needs to make amends for his performance V Swansea in the cup.
