Was like he had no directional sense at all, but they were pinging off him. Not in a Casillas way mind, in a 'lucky fat bastard' way.
Aye I thought the floaty header near the end was going to beat him to be honest. He just seemed to have no co-ordination, and as you say was lucky to see a few hit him. Mig's was just a bizarre goal, very unlike him.
Easily have won 5-2? Get real, have you forgotten that your first goal was a deflection as well. The Baggies were good value for their win.
Are you thick? The expression 'we could just have easily....' is well known to be 'it could have gone the other way'. It easily could have on another day. It wasn't me suggesting we deserved, or where ever likely to win 5-2. Dipshit.
Ha. Sorry mate, it looked a bit tetchy didn't it. In essence, I was saying we could just as easily have won as lost, just one of those days.
To be fair, WBA were not a particularly impressive team to be sitting 3rd in the league. Their 1st was one of those row z or superstar. Nowt you can do but it took a poor control form AJ to hand them the shot. "nd one was a total howler and only their 2nd attack of the half. 3rd was a cheated penalty (or do you say otherwise) and their 4th was when we were throwing the kitchen sink at them for an equaliser. That said, I know what Mons is saying. 1-0 down at half time and I still fancied our chances but that Mig error killed our chances and we were chasing the game for the rest of the day. Strangly enough, even at 3-1 I fancied we could get something as they were not that impressive and their keeper was a clown but we got hit by a cheated 3rd, a ****e ref decision and a canny counter attack. We regroup and go again Tuesday. What will you do upon your 3rd straight league defeat later today?
We aren't playing well, we know that. And you may well have your say later However, if you lose on Tuesday Marty either walks or is sacked. I saw him yesterday and he doesn't look a happy man, poor fella. Strained is the word.
Defeat on Tuesday will see a marked change in the crowds reactions as well. Sadly, time is an element that doesn't happen in football and QPR's 1st away win of 2012 will be a hard result to explain even for a die hard MoN supporter like me. Just out of interest, how many consecutive defeats will Pardew survive before the crowd turn on him?
The team got booed for their dire performance on Thursday. The Europa League, however, buys Pardew more time because he can easily point to that and blame it, to some degree, on results. That and injuries and suspensions, although the buck stops with him. Marty, though, will be a dead man walking if QPR win on Tuesday. Well, a lot of you on here wanted Harry Rednapp to get his chance at the SOL. Now's his big chance
The fact that we finished fifth last season also buys him time. He's got to start turning things round this season though. And quickly.
Did we lose to a relegation side yesterday? I was at the game and thought we were better than them first half and if not for a cheating scumbag dive for the penalty we may well have got something from the game. They are the best side we've played this season IMO and I fancy if we play like that many more tomes this season I think we'll win more than we'll lose.
I'm slightly baffled by Sunderland tactics, especially up front. You have Fletcher who is a real threat and Sessignon who is a skilful powerful player and yet for all of the games bar the last two you have struggled to get the ball to them. Sess has been playing in a five man midfield has he not, while Fletcher's goals per shot ratio is impressive. Add to that the fact that you have a very vocal home crowd, why not play an advanced attacking game where you get enough players forward and enough through balls/crosses into them to create real pressure like you've done in seasons past? Larrson is one of the most dangerous crossers of the ball in the Prem yet he seems to be struggling.
