Saints fan in peace. Good point for you boys yesterday. I'm hoping for 3 points today against the Geordies and another home win on Weds night! What's your line up likely to be? Will Surman get a run?
Goalie is likely to be Bunn, unless Ruddy's leg is 100% Rest of the team just about the same as yesterday I would imagine, no room for Surman though. He doesn't feature much now Pilkington is in the side Interesting game and one I would imagine many Canaries will be thinking we can get at least 1 point from on our current form.
I think yesterdays first half performance should act as a wake up call, that you can't take your foot off the gas for one second in this league. They got it together second half and should carry that as a warning from the start on Wed, i am expecting us to get that first away win if we start as we finished at Goodison. Team as Thia said will probably be the same with the exclusion of Ruddy, but hopefully with Turner back. Here's hopeing for a decent match, and a decent performance from Clattenburg !
Bunn Whittaker R Bennett Bassong Garrido Snodgrass Tettey Johnson Pilkington Hoolahan Holt Will be happy with a point away to you guys, we do seem to struggle against you lot especially in recent times.
I'd like to see Bennett come on as a sub around th ehour mark - he must be 'chomping at the bit' to show what he can do. Yes, we need to pick up at least a point and when we played Saints in the championship, they were always good games. Let's hope Clattenburgh has a good game too.
Should be a good game - team the same as yesterday unless ruddy us out then bunn will do a good job I've got a horrible feeling our wining run will end though, we can't score more than one goal at the mo and I can see saints scoring a couple.
Lose to you? We have old scores to settle with Southampton - and it may not be pretty http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/128905/report
Ah the Old Johnstones Paint Trophy.Have it on good authority that Mick has it in his sights for the Stadium of Gloom trophy room next season.
Indeed - but look at the date, 15/12/2009 - less than three (3) years ago we were losing to Saints in the JPT, and now we're taking points off Arsenal, ManUre, Stoke and Everton in the league Where, there's muck there's brass, they do say. NCFC have kind of proved that to be true
It's an amazing achievement, back to back promotions and sustaining a season in the top flight of English football. After Colchester if someone said we'd be playing premiership football in three years time you would think they were delusional. I still sit back and reflect on how far we've gone as a club, now though it's better because we don't feel starstruck by the Premiership we feel like we're actually a part of it.
I've noticed now that several people have commented on our good run of form and the high-flying teams we've taken points off but all seem to overlook the excellent point at WHL that could, and probably should have been all three were it not for a certain Mr. Freidel!
Not really a big surprise, Saints have deserved more in many of their defeats and Toon are on a desperate run of form atm!
