No . QPR, Reading and Villa to go down. Don't count Sunderland out either. We will win tomorrow.

Another thought has just occurred to me, England and Ukraine are in the same WC qualifying group, so there's another reason for Redknapp to court attention from them and present himself as a desirable candidate for a national manager job, to get back at the FA for not giving him the England job. But how far was he willing to go down that road? Obviously not all the way.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd have said beating them at their place was taking a massive advantage.

I think he will, he can get the best out of certain troublesome players and always buys well in the windows. They can only improve, let's be honest.

Well in his BBC interview he said that QPR have already bought enough players this season, so he doesn't foresee too much activity in January. To be honest, I think he'll have them in better form before the new year anyway, as they have a nice run of games coming up after their certain defeat today. I don't think he'll keep them up though, purely based on the fact that I can't see three worse teams in this league, and I think the job would be an immense challenge for any manager.

Anyone noticed when asked when QPR contacted him he said Wednesday then changed his mind to Thursday after Hughes got sacked. Some QPR executive (Philip Beard?) has just evaded a similar question on 5 Live. I am willing to accept that Arry might genuinely not know what day of the week it is, but I don't quite buy that he wasn't sounded out before the sacking.

You're probably right, and that's QPR's prerogative really. There's no rule against them talking to other managers while Hughes is still in his job, although perhaps it would be seen as dishonourable.

Well, if QPR want to stay up then they've got a lot of catching up to do. Starting off against Man U at 3...

I think he will keep them up, but I desperately want him to fail.

He probably will. QPR have a decent squad so if they start playing more cohesively then they'll probably stay up.

Though Redknapp's a cock so I hope he fails.

I think if it looks like QPR are headed for the drop in, say, March, he'll find a convenient national team to go and manage.

I just think QPR are destiined for relegation. The same way that nearly every pundit around has predicted Wigan to go down every season since they came up. QPR though don't have a fantastic manager or the positivity around the club to get them out of jail. Saints, Wigan or even Villa I think are enigmatic enough to muster up a top draw performance when they really need one and theyu aren't going to surrender meekly. I don't feel that with QPR.

You really rate Rednapp that much? Or the players that QPR have?

    THIS

Every club he has managed has been left in the pomme frite. West Ham went down and had to be sold, we went down and went into admin, Pompey are Pompey. Spurs he spent a ridiculous amount of money and they have achieved nothing. I cant see why people think this guys is a good manager?!

I agree with most of what you say, but think he was hard done by at Spurs. He finished fourth last season and in most years would have been in the Champions League.
