I have to walk across half of Guildford to get to the train station so I was very grateful it wasn't raining yesterday... makes the journey far more bearable. Can't be arsed with rain tomorrow, or on Wednesday.
I'm going, apparently should be good weather until the evening, depending on who you believe. By the way, today is the day of the clean sheet! (For us , not them)
I am trying to convince myself that a poor result is a hiccup and we shouldn't panic. No one must panic!!!!! I feel less anxious than last week, but I really should never be a football fan (especially a Saints fan) as I am only happy between match days. The last two seasons were unbelievable for me....it was like supporting ManU!
http://www.nufcblog.org/2012/11/bat...outhampton-vs-newcastle-united-match-preview# Interesting article. Shows that over the last few games our form has been the same as theirs. With the players they have missing this is a great opportunity for another 3 points!
Yep. i'd agree with this, with the added benefit that Newcastle played in Europe mid-week and are a shade more fatigured than us. I'd love to see us keep a clean sheet, but I don't think it'll happen this game. A narrow, squeaky-bum time 2-1 to us, which'll push us out of the relegation zone.
Dont listen to him - listen to a mariner ! It is dry with a blue sky here in Southampton this morning.
Going to go with 2-2, long balls to Ba giving us the trouble that long balls to strikers frequently do, with Rickie scoring and...I dunno, maybe a 30 year rocket from Schneiderlin.
I would go for a Morgan header. That's how he's scored his 2 goals this season. But I guess a 30 yarder from Morgan would be a one in 30 year event!!
I can hardly bring myself to say it, but a win today would lift us out of the bottom three. I already have my lucky red socks on - full of holes cos they're the same ones I wore against Walsall when we got promoted from League 1.
When you believe in things that you don't understand Then you suffer Superstition ain't the way The only lucky thing we need today is a lucky team, but then "you make your own luck" as they say It won't be boring that's for sure. Enjoy everyone !!!
Ha ha! You remind me of a friend, when we used to race motocross he would wear the most minging pair of boxer shorts you'd ever seen, he was convinced that all the times he'd got hurt he hadn't been wearing them. Have a good day everyone, I'm going to trek down to the train station, here's hoping we have a positive day to discuss later!
Professional or pleasure..? Pleasure for me, getting on for nearly 30 years. It's several hours later and I agree. Always listen to the sailing forecast. We've had a wee spot of rain, here and there, since the blue sky this morning but it hasn't amounted to much. I reckon there's a very good chance of little or no rain at all during the match.
