Simply repeating what Wilikns said happened on Sky Sports. As I say it matters not whether he did or didn't want to take it forward, FA rules mean they have to report it. The report from the FA states this and Clattenburg himself said they were right to report it. He just didn't think it should be done in the public arena. Wilkins claims Mikel lost his blob when told what had been said, something backed up by the fact he has now been charged by the FA for language and behaviour post match around the refs changing room.
Ah the totally unbiased Mr Wilkins! Well that's me put in my place then. And I assume Mikel lost it because someone said that's what the ref said? Then later when he realised when it was supposed to have been said, he knew he was there and heard none of it. You sound just like Chelski trying to cover their tracks. They wanted it to be true and jumped in with both feet, will have been pissed off big time when Mikel was honest enough to say he hadn't heard it. The only racists involved were employed by Chelski. Mikel is one of the few that comes out due any respect from me. If their wasn't so many camera angles and the refs being miked up, want to bet Clattenburg would have been hung out to dry by now? All the hard evidence backed up Clattenburg.
Mikel lost it because Ramires told him that the ref had called him a monkey, he has been charged for his behaviour. Mikel could hardly claim to have heard it could he when video evidence was available that proved otherwise. How he comes out with "respect" when he was standing closer and understands English fully is bizarre. He knew the claim was untrue but still chose to abuse the referee. At least Ramires can claim misunderstanding! The point is irrelevant really with regards to Mikel and his feelings on the matter though. Ramires made a complaint that he wanted taken forward, Chelsea were morally bound to investigate and under FA rules required to report to the FA because Ramires asked them to. Chelsea have followed the rules. I'll put this to bed for you, the below is a section from the FA conclusion and puts Chelsea entirely in the clear for reporting the matter: "Equally The FA is satisfied that the allegation against Mark Clattenburg by Ramires was made in good faith. It is entirely possible for a witness to be genuinely mistaken and convincing in his belief. The FA receives and investigates numerous allegations of misconduct over the course of a season. All allegations are properly investigated. It is not uncommon for investigations to lead to no disciplinary charge being brought. The FA encourages all players who believe they have been either subject, or witness to, discriminatory abuse to report the matter immediately to the match officials on the day. Furthermore, all Participants are advised to report any such alleged misconduct to The FA. In this case, the player and club were correct in reporting the matter to The FA and it was appropriate and proper for such an allegation to be thoroughly investigated." They had to report it, end of story.
Well you are inventing situations to cover Chelskis arse. So I will invent one for Mikel, and he thought the accusation was about when he wasn;t there. Yet you with your insider knowledge are again making things up about him. How did he know the claim was untrue? He knew the claim about when he was involved was untrue. The only person who could have backed up Ramires lies was Mikel and from the outset he has denied hearing any such thing. Your making things up doesn't make what you say true ballbag.
http://www.thefa.com/News/governance/2012/nov/statement-mark-clattenburg.aspx Full report for you. Doesn't matter how you spin it, its there in black and white that the FA expect people to report it which I believe was your original incorrect point Chelsea were correct to report it. Jenga my good man
No one is denying that they had to report it. They wanted it so badly to be true all reason went out of the window. They dived on it like a rabid dog and ran with it. Even though there was no substance apart from one player who luckily for them can be excused because he is foreign. Irony! The fact is it has been proved that it was all bullshit and they should apologise for not retracting it, when Mikel told everyone it wasn't true.
Unfortunately you did! They have nothing to retract, nobody does. Ramires and Mikel have apologies to make for misunderstandings and abuse. Less drink, more sleep mate.
