Evening saints Surman hasn't played for a few games now, do doubt he will play Wed Sure he will later in the season but pilkington is keeping him out Good luck tomorrow vs toon, looking forward to Wed, I'll be there
Exactly, he has gone from talented player for a Championship side, to making his big move to the Premier League, to not even making the bench, back to the Championship, promising start, long-term injury, back to the Premier League, spends half the time on the bench, half filling in for injured players. And now 12 games into the season he's had 4 appearances. Not exactly the dream three and a bit years for a promising young footballer.
Evening canary. Well done on your fantastic point against Everton today. Looking forward to Wednesday. Last night I saw Norwich at St Marys was the JPT match where we knocked you out on pens after a last minute equalizer by Papa Waigo. It was bloody freezing that night! It will be interesting to see who fares better Lambert or Holt.
So therefore the PL decided it would be unfair for NUFC to only have one day of rest between games. It is also for this reason that we play Wednesday, rather than Tuesday. Sorted.
Ha ha what a bellend i thought we were home, i can`t make this one ..In that case another away draw looks likely...........
Swansea v Liverpool and Chelsea v Man City on TV. Those two games were the games scheduled for Sunday TV coverage. Saints V Newcastle and Spurs v West Ham were moved from Saturday because of the Europa League.
Doubt you boys will need to worry about Surman. As Max has said, he isn't getting much of a look in at the moment as we have a very settled midfield and attack. I will be there Wednesday night. Unfortunately, I'm in the home end as I'm using my Father-in-Law's spare season ticket. Me and him sat next to each other in the Northern, so should be an interesting night.
Surman was unlucky to be sold really, he was an important player for us back in the day but we had to cash in to stop the club going out of business. He didn't want to leave and I believe if he'd stayed with us he'd have turned out a better player. Shame for him things turned out how they did.
It's a common phrase, but there are no easy games in the prem. I've no doubt this will be tough, but after having played Man U, Arsenal, Everton and Stoke in our last five games, no offence, but it's a relief to go into a game where I think we can dominate. With all due respect, I'd be surprised if we walk away with less than a point- I can only see you scoring if we have a defensive shocker. We've looked too good defensively and especially if Turner is back, I don't think you've got enough up front. Whether we can get the goal to nick a win, I'm not sure. I'm going to go for a 0-1 Norwich victory in the last 20. I can see Hoolahan getting a goal on the break after So'ton throw everything forward. I'm afraid it won't be a very exciting match in that case- we're not the same side as under Paul Lambert, so while we play alright football, we're not really giving a viewing spectacle. Looks like you've turned a corner though. I imagine you'll be in and around fifteenth by the end of the season.
Strange how other teams fans view us. Our attack is the bit we are not concerned about...though putting away a few more of our chances would make life easier on the old ticker.
As much as I like Norwich as a side, I think you're massively underestimating us in this post! I think a draw is a likely result, although as we are at home I will stick my neck out and say 2-1
Not underestimating you at all, but your attack is not better than Man U, Arsenal or Everton. Maybe Stoke and Reading, but it would be close. As I say, this will be a tough game for us. I think most likely is a draw, but being the optimist and your defence not being great, I'm going to say a Norwich win by a single goal. That being said, we'll probably have a defensive shocker, Bassong will get sent off after his first bad game for us and you'll look like Real Madrid! As I said,I think you've got enough to stay up this season with room to spare, but we're not a bad team ourselves. Also, we've been very strong recently against the teams around us, I can't remember the last time we lost to one. Liverpool and Newcastle don't count... EDIT: last loss which I think was a bad one was Blackburn in April
