Well they didn't say in the Prem, but guessing it's what they ment. As you say still a stupid comment anyways, seeing as we have only just got back in the Prem.
Makes me laugh when stats are revealed about one team not beating another for something like 40 years, when they haven't played each other in 40 years. Totally meaningless headline crap.
Fairly recently, BBC said we were having our worst PL start since 2004/05. I wasn't sure if I should laugh or cry.
After having a bit of a prem stream fest this pm I find myself strangely optimistic about tomorrow. We CAN win more than a few games in this league so 2-1 to the Saints for me (Their goal will be a deflected toe poke from a corner).
I'd gladly take a point right now but we can still win it. YES we are utter ****e at the minute/injuries etc etc but Southampton are also ****e (no offense). Could go either way.
Really fancy us to win tmrow, considering putting a fiver on it. Never really bet on saints, Anyone else bet on us?
Newcastle are there for the taking tomorrow. I believe we will be out of the bottom 3 this time tomorrow.
Here's hoping, 2 quick fire wins in the matter of a few days and things would look very different for us.
Take the long view Fran. There were 3 points on offer for either side and they wasted one of them between them. If we win against Newcastle we're catching up on both of them. If we lose, neither get more than 1 point further away.
There's a lesson here about the proliferation of inane stats by Twitterators with computers which are then repeated by lazy journos. If you look hard enough at any series of games you're bound to find something unusual to write about. Knowing that Man Utd have conceded the first goal in nine of their 13 Premier League games tells you something about their performances. Knowing that there have been five penalties in the last six games between Man City and Chelsea, does not. Rant over
Haha! I am glad in a way I'm not going to this one because A) the public transport could be a nightmare and B) I would have got soaked. I love Saints, but quite frankly, I don't fancy getting stuck on a train or getting diverted via Portsmouth (which happened the last time I went to a Sunday game at St Marys - Fulham game). I'm going on Wednesday when the weather should have calmed down a bit.
Weather forecast is not looking too bad tomorrow afternoon in Southampton. Not good here tonight and again Sun night but supposed to be ok during the afternoon.
