Yep...another 90mins of my life lost to football, think I need to get out more often! If I was an Arsenal fan I'd be pissed after watching that, they showed no urgency whatsoever until injury time.
I was at work during the early kick offs and hadn't noticed West Brom had won again. Incredible season so far, I really hope they can keep it up.
So then, win tomorrow and we escape the bottom three. Didn't think I'd be saying that when the final whistle went at the Hawthorns the other week. I always had targeted four points from this home double-header, but generally I'd been thinking one point vs Newcastle and three points vs Norwich. But if anything, it's the other way around now. Based on their last month, I think we underestimate Norwich at our peril.
Team and Manager of the Premier League season, so far, for me. They've done superbly, built on Roy Hodgson's earlier work.
Without any doubt. But I do think every single one of us should be happy with four points. It would be a good return. And besides, the home double-header the other side of Liverpool away probably sees six points even more within our grasp than this week. Reading and Sunderland at home, yes please.
Oh I'd definitely be happy with 4 points. If Saints were offered 4 points now I'd take them without a seconds thought.
I agree but I also think they underestimate us at their peril, they've got some big results against big teams, they might come into our game with a slightly more lax attitude. Particularly considering their level of performance hasn't matched the results they've gotten, they've played well no doubt but have taken a large handful of help from the performances of the teams they've played. If we play a good game and come out of the traps fast, we might be able to catch them off guard I feel.
What we need to happen: Suarez avoids booking against Swansea, Suarez gets booked against Tottenham, Suarez misses Saints game, No Suarez=no goals, Lambert scores a controversial penalty from a dive by Lallana , Saints 1 Liverpool 0.
Or Suarez can get a straight red card tomorrow for violent conduct or serious foul play. Or he can get injured. Either one suits me.
If he was going to get sent off or injured I'd rather it be in the first minute of the game against us!
I reckon he will play, and after the game Lawro will talk about that fantastic Uruguayan, who laid on two assists before being subbed with 20 minutes left to an ovation from the kop, for the 17 year old English kid who catches Roy's eye passing the rest of the game out. You know what I mean.
