I know we will probably get a tonking today at OT but I have to admit that I am really looking forward to today's match for a number of reasons.
It will be interesting to see what team and formation MHs two coaches will put out. Will they stick to the same tactics that MH employed in setting the team up to be tight despite the players not working hard as individuals or as a unit and playing like strangers OR will they realise the unique situation they are in and actually manage to set our team up to have a go at Utd.

Will Harry have any say in team selection or formation? He has seen us several times this year through his media work and will have some idea of our weaknesses. He can covertly pick our team and tactics today without any repercussions. This would give him a head start for when he presumably starts training with our players next Monday. It's kind of a win win situation for Harry. Responsibility for team selection but not the result. I would expect to hear that Harry will have visited the dressing room at half time.

Will the players up their performance for somebody who is considered one of the best coaches in England. The very fact that we are playing Utd at OT and all the media attention that will come their way as players should be enough to ensure that our overpaid pre madonnas lift their game anyway today.

Whatever the result I expect and demand a performance today. Not just to keep the scoreline respectable but to give us fans hope that better days lay ahead. I await today's game with both trepidation and genuine optimism. Ahh to be a QPR fan. Would we have it any other way?

If they can't raise their game for days like today they shouldn't be playing at all...

I agree with the Op, but I don't think we will get a tonking today. I also think that they (Manure) might just have some added pressure on them. QPR's first win of the season, what's old red nose going to say about that in the dressing room?

As stand ins I would hope they're bold and go for it. In their situation I'd be thinking I've got nothing to lose. If we lose its expected, if they pull off a victory they're heroes.
I'm sure the players will raise their game. Biased as we are to Loftus road, these are sportsman and to perform in front of 75000 at Old Trafford should appeal to the egos!

2-0 my prediction. I would settle for that with a battling performance.

Good OP post Nutso, and agree with subsequent posts.

We should find out in the three matches over the next week, and certainly before the Jan window, how much the malaise in the team is down to the previous manager's poor man-management and dispute-resolution skills, and how much is down to certain players who have more interest in being employed by wealthy and enthusiastic paymasters than wearing the hoops with pride.

I am hopeful that if the climate of envy and resentment that appears to have been left festering between players under Hughes' reign is curtailed by Harry Rednapp, our group of (generally) talented footballers could be transformed into a team, where individuals play for each other, the fans and the club.

I'll be amazed if we don't see a marked change in attitude today tbh. New manager coming in? Playing on a huge stage? I'd say anyone not showing commitment today should be jettisoned asap!

I'm excited nuts, I wished I could of made the trip up there today. If Taarabt Hoilett and Cisse catch fire they are capable of destroying any defence, and I mean any! If Harry can get those three going the support act behind them will start to believe and then anything can become possible.

I still think we have some very good players and if Harry can get them playing as a team and enjoying their football again, we will be in for an exciting rest of the season.
I'm feeling much more positive than I was last week.

Good point Superhoop and well said. If players are not up for it at Old Trafford 110 per cent they should play no further role at our club. Playing at Old Trafford iswhat the majority of pro footballers aspire to whether its for against the Reds. I shall be watching closely today.

Cesar, Mbia, Hill, Nelsen, Traore, Derry, Faurlin, Mackie, Taarabt, Dyer, Cisse.

Hill v RVP scares me. Looks like we are going 5 at the back?

    Dyer Hill Mbia Nelsen, Traore

    Mackie Faurlin Derry Taarabt

    ----------Cisse

Although it could be Dyer in Midfield or Mbia just in front of the back 4.

How about 4 2 3 1 with Mbia and Derry behind the three offensive midfield?

I dont see Faurlin as being able to play in the attacking 3. Id have gone for that if Granero was playing.

I suppose they could revert to that if we're losing and Granero comes off the bench.
