I'm pleased to note that recently our Nige has mentioned his good relationship with Nicola on several occasions. He said yesterday that although NC is demanding of success, he is always supportive when things are not going so well. Nigel also said he intends to be manager here for 10-15 years (I swear I heard angels playing harps in the background).

Wow, thats good to hear. I still have that feeling that if we stick with Nige, all will be well. It's about time his wife moved down!

Yes, Nigel needs a few woodland walks hand in hand and afternoons of sweet lurve. Might make him more positive<laugh>

If Nigel ****s off to the first big club that comes calling (aka Rodgers and Lambert) after all the loyalty from the fans I will not be pleased. I am 99% sure it won't happen though.

So the 1% in you speaks louder than the 99%?

Always a difficult one...we would move for a better job. Scunny didn't want to lose Nigel, but I suppose they needed the compensation. I would like to think that Nigel will be Southampton's Wenger (but with more trophies<laugh>).

I prefer simple numbers so I just round 99% to 100%. There's no way Nigel would give up what he has got here to walk into someone else's crisis.

Here for 10-15 years, suggests there just might be a 10-15 year plan. Would be interesting to know the milestones.. In project planning terms there are 'must achieve objectives'. There would also be 'desirable objectives' that would normally fit chronologically with the 'must achieve milestones. All businesses expand or wither. Wouldn't mind a view of the chart outlining the project plan that should be in Nicola and Nigel's heads. We knew reaching the premiership was a key milestone, as is 50% of the first team being graduates of the academy. Good fun to speculate what else is in the plan...

Well lets just hope that there isn't a better job than the one he's got!

I think he will be here until he decides he can't improve the club or isn't doing a good job. He's the type of man who would resign if he felt that.

7 Years: European Champions League Winners
    10 Years: Annexe France
12 Years: Europe to be ruled from Southampton

I think there is a little wriggle room on target dates...Nicola is a very reasonable man.

Who would potentially still be playing for us in 15 years time? That would be weird.

btw I hope Adkins is still here in 10-15 years time

What has happened at our club this last three seasons has been amazing and long may it continue under Nigel and i don't wish to pop anyone's bubble but most people in this day and age in football are ambitious and money does funny things to the best of them. In the case of Brenden Rodgers for example Swansea are a fantastic club but when Liverpool came calling he was off.Players or managers who do well will attract interest from more powerful places than us its a sad fact of modern football life.
