Lenny - I did the Moonwalk with Mrs W_Y for 4 years running, so I have 4 years experience including Bra decorating! First year was the night before the Cardiff play-off final and it was a Watford Bra!
We stand humbled. Any pics you can show is of yourself in a bra W_Y - Norway and I promise we wont show anyone else
Your humbleness is accepted - I do have photos, but they are limited to my sponsors - I promised not to publish them as long as they sponsored me! This is really a good cause that is very close to Mrs W_Y and a bit of pride hiding was a small price to pay to raise funds for this cause....we raised over ã10K in those 4 years In any case, being surrounded by 1000's of ladies wearing decorated Bra's?....
I'm not a big fan of the One Show - he says quickly - but just seen an article on it about Eddy Kidd. If you remember he was the daredevil stunt motorcyclist who used to jump loads of buses, the Great Wall of China etc. Apparently he had an accident back in 1996 resulting in him being very disabled - I think they said he is paralysed on his left side. He is now doing the London Marathon though - using a zimmerframe - and has so far completed about 7 miles one step at a time. Great courage - and again raising thousands for a Children's Charity
Lenny - Totally inspiring to see people do that. Michael Watson, the ex-boxer took 6 days to complete the marathon...true heroes
That shows utter dedication and selflessness also brings a tear to the eye to witness that sort of heroics
See, now how can i complain about pain with stories like that to inspire! The bra is done, just need a little something from the Hornet shop to complete it, and i must say, they look darn good ...now all we have to do is walk 26 miles lol. i found out today that the friends i'm doing it with already walked 20 this week, so i'm now a little behind (i wish i had one of those btw lol)...but i'm not bothered, coz we'll all be walking 26.2 for the first time in a few weeks time!
Hornette - Don't stress yourself, our training schedule had us doing the 20 mile walk 3 weeks before the big night. So I would say you are bang on plan...
thanks w-y. Mine has me doing it two weeks before, and adding a mile each week...i'm going to stick to it, even though my friends told me lots of people have already done the 20...no point in pushing it now , i'd hate to do myself an injury. Frustrating a bit though lol...hey ho, it's only my competitive nature that makes it so View attachment 2583
Think your right Hornette , I`m assuming you have put a lot of thought and time in your planning ,so its prob best to stick to it!
i was given a programme by a personal trainer, i know it's right, i just hate the thought of being left behind..makes me even more determined to leave them and do it faster now lol...just as well they're friends! lol
Just stay on the plan you've got H - if you push it and set yourself back you will regret t - you're doing great
