I think you now have to say Fakht but good to see you've taken him to your heart already.

When the late great Jock Stein died of a heart attack at Ninian Park Cardiff he had led Scotland to the brink of qualyfying for the World Cup.

Guess who took over and won the one remaining game and took all the plaudits?

    I know

    Can't beleive Fergie did that

There aren't any depths he won't sink to

Spat in the face of the fight against racism to keep Schmeichel out of trouble & then again to gain favour with the refs in a case his club wasn't even involved in. Despicable man with no decency.

Not really, Ferguson revelled in Steins glory.<ok>

He still hasn't forgiven Rafa for being 50% as successful as him in the CL.

Really pathetic Paige. Fergie did nothing of the sort and I believe you're of an age to know that without having to buy into whatever ****e is written on sites like RAWK. You're using a man's death to score points. Really low and does you no credit at all.

I assume that as you condemn Fergie for an unproven allegation against Schmeichel you have an even lower opinion of a guilty Suarez? Probably not.

Jock Stein should have been knighted but was kicked in the bollox when after he won the European Cup with a team all born within 20 miles of Celtic Park the manager of the 2nd British club to win it was knighted.

Fergie disses the World Cup, the old twat pinpoints the last great WC finals.

The likes of Wayne Rooney, Fernando Torres, Nicolas Anelka, Kaka and Robin Van Persie failed to make their mark and Ferguson was not entirely surprised, claiming that you have to go back to the 1986 tournament in Mexico - when he managed Scotland - for the last decent World Cup.''A lot of teams and a lot of players were disappointing at the World Cup,'' he said. ''There is only one team who took credit and that was Spain. They kept a reasonable momentum and playing style throughout the tournament.
''The rest were spasmodic or disappointing in their form and so were some of their best players. That just went towards what was a poor tournament. There could be a lot of reasons for that and expectation does come into it.
''Everyone always looks forward to the World Cup as if it is going to be the greatest thing ever but you have to go back to Mexico 1986 for the last good one.''

    The one he was in.

So Stein not being knighted is Fergie's fault and the fact that Fergie thinks all World Cups since '86 have been boring (which they have) is Fergie disrespecting Stein's memory and taking credit for his successes. You're off your nuts pal.

    That's completely incorrect.

Fergie only has a pop at other managers he feels threatened by, look at how his attitude to Wenger has mellowed since he no longer sees Arsenal as a title challenger. All other managers he blows smoke up there backside and uses them in his little games (see 'Big Sam', every former Utd player turned manager, bar Hughes at City when they were coming into contention ofcourse).

I really don't see why the media fall into his 'mind games' they are so transparent.

Fergie bigs up the WCF's that Jock Stein's Scotland team reached, Fergie slates Rafa for a similar thing at Inter and soon to be Chelsea.

Don't be offended, Fergie clearly isn't.

Re me bringing Big Jock into it, it's relevant.<doh>

Look at all the widdle wiverpool fans cosying upto Chelsea all of a sudden!

Your club is so bad you have to team up with Chavs to try and have a dig at United, good to see you're back mocking deaths for cheap points again as well <ok>

Still you do have a lot in common. Racist players, thugs in the team, the fat waiter and a general lack of class by supporters. It won't last though, soon you'll be battling for the last CL spot and then your jealousy against us will be forgotten.

    Mocking deaths?

Big Jock was one of the greatest managers to ever grace the game on these shores and he deserves a posthumous mention in relevance to Fergies wrong assertion of Rafa.

Sorry Paige, you know it's bollox. Fergie was Stein's assistant and ****ing worshipped the man, that's well documented. To put it into context, it would be like the manager of one of the top 4 clubs in England being the England manager's assistant. You've gone a bit too far in your attempt to discredit Fergie.
