Casey Stoner former MOTOGP and Casey womens footballer I believe. Don't think you'd get away with calling her KC though
Best avoided if your surname is Jones. I quite like the name Amber, though it does remind me of that really annoying tart from Corry.
I like the name a lot and can't believe I didn't think of it for mine (who turned out to be a boy that I couldn't get away with calling Ken, Dean or Boaz anyway) Ashbee surely works as a girl's name doesn't it?
How about Aswad for a middle name? It's arabic for black. Amber Aswad........ If your wife has picked Amber then do you get to pick the middle name?
When deciding our girls names (twins) I liked Amber but we both thought it a bit chavvy(and the names werent allowed to have anything to do with City), but what is chavvy to one person is class to another and these opinions change over time, I mean so has the meaning of the word "Chav", originally somebody who wore designer sports clothing (Beckham was the original chav) but now people just mean a scally. Until we knew we were having girls I liked the name Elliott after Stuart and the name Ashbee but wasnt even sure if it should be boys or girls name but the missus soon realised the city link so wasnt even considered
Hang on Marv, have I got this right? You considered using the name Ashbee as a forename( can't say Christian name these days) but think Amber is chavvy? Really?
Yeah you got it in one, and that relates to my other point that one persons chav is anothers class. But looking back it probably is a chavvy name but it would have been original
Some tetchy people on here aren't there?! I merely stated that kids called by certain names coincidentally turn out to be the ones who are ill mannered, badly behaved, dim (insert your own superlative). That is not to say it applies to all 'modern' names, nor all kids, though how many times have you met someone called Chardonnay or something of that ilk and thought "future head of industry that one"! That being said, Oregon Tiger, wind it in. The "I know a lawyer who is considering her options" may work on the uninformed but it doesn't work on someone with half a brain, let alone someone who works in the profession.
There's a name and a half. Good job I wasn't watching Corrie ten years ago otherwise my eldest would indeed be called Norris. Fooking great name, get it used son.
Tut tut naming your kid after a husband beating nut job. Rather call it Gail after the ET look-a-like.
Every Amber I've taught has been a lovely kid and not at all stupid (and the parents have been decent folk, some very posh too)
If its a boy it should be Stuart Elliott Surname, if its a girl Amber will do just nicely. My wife is currently 5 months pregnant and resisting these and many other City based suggestions. However she knows little of football and even less about city (she's from Manc) so I may be able to slip a subtle one past her
