Yes but you're ignoring the point. We drew 3 games but went on one of our best runs in history, winning 3 points in most games and scoring loads of goals in the process. Would we have done better without the rant? Who knows? One thing is for sure - it certainly pumped us for the second half the season.
One does get the impression that Fergie considers Benitez to be a bit of a clown. Sometimes, when Fergie has a pop at other managers (eg Whinger), it's done with a huge scoop of respect.
