Azerbaijani club Baku FC have appointed Vugar Guloglan oglu Huseynzade, aged just 21, as their new manager in preference to French former European player of the year Jean-Pierre Papin - based on his experience of playing the computer game Football Manager.

So on that basis if Nigel gets sacked I should apply to be manager of Saints as I am 3rd in the league with Saints!

 

Talking of injuries, my right back got an injury for however long so I took another right back on trial with the view to sign him as a replacement and what happens? Within a day of arriving at the club the trialist gets an injury for 4-5 weeks! Luckilly one of my centre backs is also a right back, but that does limit my ability to sub out tired people, rotate or bring in an extra defender when defending a narrow lead. This injury situation is ridiculous.......

 

Just lost Boruc for 3 months with a torn hamstring...

 

Lapras, if you're in need of a good scout, try Luciano Moggi, he's one of the best scouts in the game but has 'unproven' rep, so should sign for anyone.

Mind you, if you're far in he may have retired.

 

Craig Cathcart has been a revelation for me at CB. Well worth blowing your budget on in S1.

Also, and update on Duran Stowell. He's progressed so much in 6 months, definitely gonna be in the team by the end of the season. Don't think I uploaded a shot of him when he first entered my youth team, so here's one comparing that and him now.

And also, Jason McCarthy, a young CB who's already in the U18s at the start of the game, seems to be developing for me rather nicely out of nowhere. Now rated potentially a decent Prem CB, could be useful backup in the future.

 

Given Les Reed is coming to end of his contract, I think I might bring in Ralph Rangnick as DoF, he's got high attributes in all the necessary areas.

 

Nice call, Les just left me and I am not sure whether to replace him or who with. He'll do for me.

 

Frank Arnesen is mine. He does a good job, goes a bit mental on deadline day though. Tried bringing in Comolli for a laugh but would cost too much to sack Arnesen.

 

I've just sacked Les Reed. Time for a change I think.

 

Steele and Gazzaniga out injured. Superb.

Time for Cropper to make his league debut

 

I've gone one better. I have brought him in! I'll let you know how it pans out.

 

If he throws £35m on Andy Carroll I'll piss myself.

Reminds me of the time we had to play Alan Blayney in goal in 03/04.

 

To contrast with Jordi's 2015/16 starting team, here's mine in 2014/15, with sub's bench... I know a couple of people are injured/suspended, I just made my team up to look as it would with no injuries etc.

You can't see, but it's Jack Butland in goal.

Also I made a mistake - imagine I put Poli in and took Xhaka out, I can't be arsed to do it.
