Di Matteo wouldn't be a good choice IMO, I think he did well at Chelsea as he is a Chelsea boy through and through....he had been there a while and knew all the players on a personal lvl and so getting an already world class team to gel wasn't difficult. They won the CL by the skin of their teeth. I don't think he could do that at QPR IMO. Plus I don't want some Chelsea lover boy at QPR.

Actually, Adel is crucial to Redknapp joining. They are negotiating now to make sure that he can sell him to Spurs for £10m, then after Spurs' 40% cash back, 'Arry's standard percentage for making the club a profit (sadly this is genuinely what he expects, basis of the court case), agent's fees etc etc we will cover our £1m outlay. Great business!

Sometimes tough decisions need to be made, as TF knows. If Arry wants to replace Tarbs then it will hurt, but this is where we will need to get behind the manager FFS QPR is about more than Adel Tarrabt.

Hope they get on well though as I'm a big tarrabt fan, maybe adel can show Arrys kid a few tricks - I'm sure jamie would love that.:bandit:

I agree. When Arry had Adel at Spurs he were just a young upstart kid- now he is playing with maturity. Why would Arry want to get rid of one of our best players, there's no sense in this.

I'd think Adel would be always in the first team. Harry likes flair.

I see you've tired of running around impersonating me. Very funny indeed.

What does Tinky Winky think of Harry Redknapp?

Harry said he tried to play Adel and modric in same team but it didn't work. He sold Adel even though he liked him as couldn't fit him in.

But then the only one I would go for would be a prediction that we would be relegated at the end of the season. That way, we'd know for sure that we were safe

Harry said he was lazy and didn't track back enough, Adel has become a different player in the last 2 years and works a lot more to the point where he is becoming an example to other players in the team. If he carries on improving as he is at the moment he'll be truly a world class players.

That was then this is now.....Adel is a different player in many respects anyone would be mad to get rid of him.

People must be blind if they cant see that Taarabt has changed, he was defending corners, winning headers and even getting stuck in now. He was one of the hardest workers against Saints.

Redknapp loves a player who can do something that's a bit special and unpredictable.
He rated Taarabt, but couldn't fit him into the 4-4-2 we were using at the time, especially as Modric was being played wide to adjust to the physicality of the league.
He was also behind Kranjcar and Dos Santos in the pecking order.

I think he'll try to replicate the formation that brought him a lot of success at Spurs and stick the Moroccan into van der Vaart's role.
Gives him a lot of freedom and draws the focus away from parts of his game which he's been criticised for in the past.

Totally agree wont take long for Harry to know that Tarrabt is probably our best player so will have no choice but to look after him

Whilst I've always been very positive about Adel, I can see why folks - including Harry - didn't like the old version. But as others have pointed out, he's a different player now and, whilst still not perfect, he has a strong all round game. Harry's no mug: he'll be able to see the difference and, if necessary, admit that he might have made a mistake when he sold him to us.

    Looking in from outside...

Harry sold Taarabt as a European side to a side that looked like it might get promoted/stay in the bottom half of the PL.

From what i've seen of Taarabt, that's the sort of player he is. Not proven hiself in the PL. As soon as you learn his style and how to counteract it you have him in your pocket.

When we played you in your promotion season when Ishmael Miller got that last minute winner Ben Mee absolutely floored him with his first touch and all he did was sulk.

Not that i totally agree with you but its good to read an outsiders view and get away from the unconditional worship he has.
i have many friends that are fans of "top 10" football teams and not one of them wants tarrabt in thier squad, not even Liverpool..thats bad

I agree he's totally unproven at PL level, but he's having a good season for QPR and a great season for himself. After last year his reputation was in tatters but now he's matured and is developing into a solid prem player. Not the "best mid in the league" as some on here have claimed, but certainly one most teams could accomodate for large parts of the season.
