It doesn't at one point say in that article that Harry Redknapp has been appointed. "The Board will now be working actively to put a new managerial structure in place as soon as possible". He is not in charge YET.
And @neilashton_ reporting that Harry Redknapp is already in place and ready to go as QPR manager - and he knows his stuff. @philmcnulty 47 minutes ago Ukraine's chances of tempting Harry Redknapp to Kiev may just have taken a rather large hit. #bbcfootball @philmcnulty 1 hour ago
Sky Sports understands Harry Redknapp has agreed QPR deal to succeed Mark Hughes Harry Redknapp: Agreed to become QPR's new manager Sky Bet Q.P.R.'s Next Match Manchester Utd 2/11 Draw 6/1 Q.P.R. 14/1 Premier League To Stay Up 12/13 £10 Free Bet Sky Sports understands Harry Redknapp has agreed a deal to succeed Mark Hughes as Queens Park Rangers manager. Hughes was sacked as Rangers boss on Friday morning with the club rooted to the bottom of the table and without a win in the Premier League this term. The future of Hughes at Loftus Road had been in severe doubt since last weekend's defeat at home to fellow strugglers Southampton, with fans calling for Redknapp to replace him. The QPR board have now decided to wield the axe and have turned to Redknapp to save their season. Mark Bowen and Eddie Niedzwiecki will take charge for the match away to Manchester United on Saturday and Sky Sports understands Redknapp will formally take control of first-team affairs after this weekend's clash at Old Trafford. Redknapp has been out of work since leaving Tottenham in June and he has been linked with a number of jobs since, but he is now poised to get back into management at Loftus Road.
Regardless, we're still in a relegation scrap, really. It's still gonna take some doing to keep us up.
Just sorting out the financial side of things with him. Couple of grand in a brown envelope slipped to little Rosie in Monaco should get the ball rolling, allegedly......... ;-)
I remember fans weren't particularly impressed when MH was appointed manager (now I know why!). If its Harry, I hope the feeling is different because I don't want to hear fans turn on him if its not happening after a few games!
Why the **** shouldn't we if he's not delivering? He's been brought in ( if indeed he has) at great expense to do one things - win games. If we don't beat Villa at home questions will be asked! But if he does cock up, not to worry, it'll be TFs fault.
If Redknapp is in, I bet all the lazy ****s like Bosingwa will suddenly step up to try and impress, thinking of himself and his own dying career. Yet if we get good performances out of him and others now, I won't be complaining for a second!
I'm just thankful that Hughes has been found out early in the season - supposing he'd won one or two and we were now bottom of the table in February. Harry has some time to make a difference, and of course the Jan transfer window to strengthen.
the main thing you will see if Rednapp is bought in he will make us play as a team and much harder to beat and break down.

Yes thats true. On the other hand TF should have sacked Hughes after that disaster of a game from the management against Hammers back on 1 October. It was totally clear then that Hughes could not do his job, and we'd have had more time to turn it arouind. Still, better late than never!
