One of the top scorers in this division next season, Ross will be hoping to return with a bang. Jerome Thomas- A loan signing from West Brom until January he is known to have pace and trickery. Just what we have needed. Can play on the wing and centrally. Hopefully he will cause problems with Ryan Hall if started. Crystal Palace Glenn Murray- Glenn Murray has made 14 appearances this season for Palace and has scored 15 goals. A constant goal threat, If Alan Tate makes a starting appearance he will have to be on top form to stop him. Wilfried Zaha- One of the brightest sparks in the country. The 20 year old has a 20 million pounds price tag and interest from clubs such as both Manchesters, Real Madrid, Tottenham and Liverpool. Has also just won young player of the month for October. Enochs Eleven PK SB LP TL AD RH MT DN JT EHD LB Bring Ross on for last half hour along with White to hopefully a tired Palace defence. Enochs Prediction We haven't had the best of seasons and some fans have even mentioned relegation. I don't think relegation will be a possibility this season but we need to start getting points up until Christmas if we are to make signings and push for play offs/promotion. The new owners have promised funds for January and we brought in Alan Tate and Jerome Thomas on the loan deadline day. Although both Thomas and Tate have PL experience I wouldn't start them both down to match fitness. I'd certainly give Jerome Thomas a start as he is what we have been looking for with his pace and attacking quality. I'd drop Sam Byram to Rb and give Ryan Hall a start who has looked promising with what little time he has had. Palace have been on a 14 match unbeaten run and have looked good especially with the whizz kid Zaha. I feel the team will surprise a lot of fans especially with the new belief since the takeover has been confirmed. I don't expect us to go out and smash Palace but I feel we could get something from the game. Leeds 1-1 Palace. Hopefully Ross will get some more time and grab a goal to boost his confidence. Over to the Elland Road and Palace faithful, Keep the banter flowing. Enoch X
Leeds United 3-1 Palace. Ok wishful thinking on my part but as I'm going up to the match with a Palace fan it'll make the journey back a lot more enjoyable Hoping for a better all round display than of late
My starting 11 would be: -------------------------Kenny------------------- Peltier---------Tate-----------Lees-----------Drury Hall----------Tonge----------Brown---------Thomas -------------Becchio--------Poleon----------------
Enoch: Terrific format of your thread and your analysis is very informative. Given CP run of form it would not be surprising to see the bookies have them as favourites. Given the emotion of the recent news I am hoping for a Leeds win to perhaps start some revival of our fortunes this season.
I reckon Palarse will edge it by the odd goal - but to be truthful I don't want either side to win so would settle for a draw!
I thought your lot put in a half decent display last Sunday, players worked hard but had no shape or pattern to your game,Your defence looked very dodgy and you had nothing going forward, Can see Palace winning it but will take a draw.(aka Tommylion). Think you could have played us for a week and not scored apart from Ross cant see where your goals are going to come from. 0-0 if your lucky
May be a little early to expect things turnaround straightaway, so not expecting much from tomorrow, but we will be ok for rest of season
I agree. Although after the next two tough matches I expect us to start picking up points sooner rather than later. With McCormack back from injury, Hall now breaking into the side, and the addition of two new faces of hopefully better quality, there will be a new lease of life in the team. You never know, we might just sneak something out of Palace. Winning runs can't go on forever.
Ross McCormack and (hopefully) Jerome Thomas will give Becchio decent service and they'll start banging them in from all over the park like we know we are capable of. I just want Diouf to stop slowing the game down so damn much when we're on the front foot. I'm hoping Thomas and McCormack will provide us with some forward thinking outlet to take pressure off the defence and allow them to perform to their full capability. We have the makings of a decent team, especially when Pearce and Austin return. I just hope Diouf gets sacked off as quickly as possible.
Team as follows: Kenny Byram Lees Tate Peltier Green Norris Tonge Thomas Diouf Becchio Hall on bench - why?
Thought he was pretty useless at Millwall tbh. Anyone know if we have to sign him in January? Because I'd probably pass based on what I've seen so far. But hey, he could change my opinion with a couple of goals off the bench today!
