http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/1778/3841985?cpt=8&title=bloomberg&wpid=2057 Skip to 5.55 ish in this video and he briefly speaks about QPR. It's not the most enlightening of snippets, but it's certainly the most up to date. Massive change from his unwavering support of Hughes from a week ago
Im 99% confident that Hughes will be gone after the Man Utd game and Harry Redknappw will be appointed following his departure. Thats not an ITK comment.....just a massive gut feeling that will be the case.
Same here, thats exactly what the mirror said is going to happen, he will be appointed Sunday after a massive loss on Saturday.
My only worry is Man Utd is going to be hugely embarrassing.....players know he is going so cant be bothered.....8-0?
They will know hes going but they will also know the new man will be watching, it wouldnt surprise me if it got near or into double figures, Id be happy with under 5 against.
This would back that up! http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/qpr-hughes-to-be-fired-and-harry-redknapp-1451087 "Sunday best: QPR poised to sack boss Hughes and bring in Redknapp 22 Nov 2012 22:32 The Premier League's winless bottom club are set to wait one more game rather than ask the new manager to start with Manchester United away.."
If we go down we will be in a worse position than when he took over. He can't hide from that so the pressure on him must be immense. Which is why I'd be very surprised if he did nothing and kept MH for the rest of the season.
Hughes is as good as gone already. If these rumours are true (and not all of them CAN be wrong), I think that the lads will step up to the plate this weekend and give it a go. New manager syndrome may kick in. However, we are coming away from OT with nothing but hope for the future and that for me is enough. U Rrrrrrrrrs!!!
Mr Fernandes comes across very well, doesn't he? Great command of the figures, doesn't fluster, but pauses, takes a breath and answers in an assured, often relaxed and friendly way. Any thoughts you might have of a man out of his depth I reckon are unfounded. There lies a very astute businessman.
What if (I know, I know!), by some fluke, we manage to avoid defeat at OT? How will that fit into this plan of sacking MH after a heavy defeat? I'm still not convinced he's a goner!
1 flukey result wouldn't paper over this horrendous season and save Hughes. We have the worst away record EVER....we won't get a result tomorrow.
I am mate, the wheels are in motion, Redknapp will be in charge for the warm down session on Monday. I wouldnt be so sure of a massive defeat on saturday, the players know they need to perform both for survival and to cement themselves into the new managers plans. Never really liked Harry before but maybe that's because he wasn't on our side. He certainly had Spurs playing the most attractive football in the Premier for the first half of last season. Two shrewd purchases in defenders and a fox in the box striker and we will be all set to beat the drop.
I'd love Harry Redknapp, I remember watching us on TV last season against Spurs at WHL and the football they played was unreal and tore us apart. Some of that please Harry!!!
A "no-comment" on Hughes is pretty damning, given the hyberbole coming from TF over the last months. However, it's not wholly conclusive. I'm a little surprised that if Harry has been lined up for sure, Hughes is allowed to remain manager for the ManU match. It's more usual surely for an assistant manager to look after the team as caretaker for a match or two, pending the appointment of the replacement. Could TF be giving Hughes one last roll of the dice at Old Trafford or even the next 2 or 3 games?
That interview has lightened my mood today. Out Tone as the Asian Alan Sugar, should be interesting. Reminded me of this Apprentice video. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Yxi6QDwQyLU Enjoy
I'd be concerned about 2 or 3 more games with Hughes in charge. May be irretrievable situation by then. Most posters on here said give him until end of Nov as there have been winable games since the early top club fixtures. Only one more weekend please. Prefer to be without any manager than endure more misery under Hughes. Notice how hardly anyone posting now refers to him as Sparky - well and truly fizzled out amongst the supporters!!
