Now thAT the deal is done at last maybe now we can have some proper investment.I would expect as many as 5 new signings initially loans with the deal to buy them in January. the list I think will include Clint Hill experienced defender Craig Davies I don,t think that its just a coinciodence that Barnsley have recruited 2 stikers this week cos t about 500k George Boyd NW watched him this week only 6 months left on his contract 500k Dont like the fact that BATES is still about I think he should be reminded what we think of him at our next home game. Glad they are giving Warnock a chancebut if he fails by the New Year I think they will then look at alternatives Finally I wish our new owners all the vey best and hope they don,t listen to the cretin and thank the loyal fans for their support
do you really think that Coco isn't pulling the strings anymore This is just another Coco smokescreen to screw you weeds over yet again
Oh god another one whose been sucked in - bless! Coco is still there so what more do you need to know that **** all has changed!
I've got a niggling feeling that bates will do everything in his power to hold us back. He's still the chairman and the new owners don't have complete control until they have more board members. Who is to say the cash injection won't go missing?
Think you're wrong, Marko. Bates has an excellent record of throwing other people's money around. Ask the Harding estate!
MS, the only thing that has changed is that KB has gone from chairman in full control to lameduck chairman with the end in sight & no longer in full control. David Haigh is now on the Board, & as such, representing the wishes & plans of the new owners. So we should see a genuine change of approach between now & the end of January, which as someone else pointed out, is the next milestone.
Well that's the worry, that any cash injection will go into paying for the increasingly more expensive east stand development, that seems to have spiralled completely out of control. I've never been able to work out why our player budget is so strictly modulated yet every other, less important financial aspect of the club is allowed to spiral out of control.
We can only hope that any remaining board members from the bates regime will now vote alongside Haigh, just to make sure anything bates tries to do gets vetoed.
Give it three weeks Marko & GFH will have three members of the Board. As they collectively have the money, I doubt there's much that KB can do other than to give his advice on whatever is being proposed.
Wonder what deal bates is on to be paid chairman? Wonder if they could sack him in January and renege on the President ship?
Howson, Johnson and Snodgrass show up to training one day to be introduced to the new chairman. "Hello fellas, we'd like to introduce our new chairman, Mr Ken Bates". A look of despair sweeps over their faces. This is what nightmares are made of.
