Does anyone seriously think we'd get Huntelaar? He's an awesome player who, despite his cheap price tag (which is purely due to contract length), will be playing in the CL after January. His wages are probably out of our league too. I can't see him dropping back to a team who, currently, are playing poorly and making a meal out of the Europa League.
Given he plays for Bayern, and even on FM it's pretty much impossible to negotiate for him, Emre Won't is the most likely target.
Hahaha!! That made me LOL. I think there's a chance with huntelaar. His transfer fee is supposedly affordable at 7-10mill. Does anyone know what he's earning? I didn't think it was too high, but I might be getting him confused. Dona, I haven't played a CM game in about 3 years, so I'm useless. HumanEncyclopediaInCroydon is your best bet, as we've just seen above!!
Roo, I admire your optimism for signing players of Huntelaars ilk, regardless of any cheap price tags. The player is CL quality and is a regular in the comp. Quite rightly if he moves he will seek to continue playing for a side we'd consider a CL regular. Its at this point I have to remind you of our CL record! Our chances of it next year are as up in the air as anything and our performances toward it this year aren't exactly a good bargaining tool. If I was a player of his 'Klass' I wouldn't sign for Spurs either...it was quite painful writing that!
The only reason I remain optimistic Notso is because he supposedly wants to move to the prem. Therefore he's potentially affordable and we might stand a chance. then again, chelsea need a striker, so he might end up signing for them. However, we're not completely out of the running, so I will remain optimistic.
I've got a feeling Chelsea will get Falcao. If they do, I fear for every defence in the league, personally rate him as the best out and out striker in the world. I think Huntelaar is a feasible option, providing we pick up our form (and points!!!) and start to look like a top 4 side rather than some mid-table drivel we've seen most weeks.
Rumours today. Tottenham are stepping up their interest in Blackpool star Tom Ince but will have to pay £10million for his signature in January. Tottenham have opened talks with Roma over a deal for play-maker Miralem Pjanic, according to reports in Bosnia. Chelsea and Tottenham target Leandro Damiao has said he wants to be reunited with ex-Internacional teammate Oscar. 10mill for Tom Ince? seriously? Good little player, but 10mill is ridiculous. If he was that good, he wouldn't be at Blackpool. Even if this is total bullshit, this is a prime example of someone we'll go for. Money that could go towards someone with that little bit more about them, but we'll take the risk and hope that the cheaper player performs for us.
yeah chelsea may well get him in this window SOS, worrying. Arsenal haven't got tonnes of strikers either. I wouldn't be surprised if Klaas goes there.

A club run as pure business with no real passion from the people who run it or own it. Low wages. Unhappy ship with the fan base split over the manager and direction of club. Your best players always wanting to leave eventually. Always short of real talent to play with . Never win anything, except 1 small trophy every decade. Lots of booing. The local area. TO join if your real class. Large fan base . A swashbuckling tradition, but this is becoming a distant memory. Living in London area. A new mythical ground on the horizon. What points could you add to join or not if you were real class player.
Playing in the Premier League, which is a very attractive prospect to many players abroad. Just look at Vertonghen signing from Ajax, CL football isn't everything. It depends what you think is a "real class" player is though really. There's plenty of great players who would have no interest in joining us and a lot of them that we'd have no interest in signing.

If you were a real class footballer why would you not sign for a club who. Have featured in the top 4 or 5 in recent seasons. Have a tradition a long tradition in Europe. Have a reputation for playing football in the right way. Are a London team with fantastic support and a new state of the art Stadium in the pipeline. Have the one of the best training facilities in Europe. Have just signed a new manager with a big reputation in Europe. A list of former great players as long as your arm such as; Greaves, Gazza, Hoddle, Ardilles, to name just four. Why not said Vertonghen, Dembele, Adebayor, Lloris. to name just four who did. Don't know why the quote marks have failed, just to be clear my comment is below the line.
What do you think on a cheeky bid (on loan maybe) for Marko Marin he's bearly touched a ball for Chelsea?
isn't that because he's injured VDB? if not, then yes! I think most on here know my admiration for him. He should never have gone to Chelsea, IMO.
Ahh that will explain it then, having said that, im still not sure he will get a game. He looked class when he played against us in the CL, he can beat his man and looks to score/assist. Who wants to sit on the bench every week anyway?
you've just reiterated exactly what my thoughts were when he joined chelsea he's too much of a joy to watch, to be sat on the bench. Unfortunately Chelsea's talent is in abundance and I just can't see him playing if Oscar, Mata and Hazard continue their form and stay fit. Fingers crossed, he'll regret his decision and join us in the future; the other club who he was weighing up joining in the first place.
