They had a lower down section but it doesn't hold 5000. As said above, Max 3000.

Maybe there were some in the home end and the Police moved them together, I dunno. I doubt the Echo just plucked the figure out of nowhere and the YouTube videos of the Leeds fans suggest there were far more than 2,000 there. I'm sure you'll bring a good following down as usual, should be a good day. Alan Smith will hopefully get some dog's abuse from the Whites fans if he's still playing for you.

Sadly there's an element of our support that still thinks of him as some kind of cult hero who saved our club when he chose for a move to Man U. They will no doubt be applauding him and singing 'Alan, Alan Smith' songs if he's on the field. Could be a divisive day at Elland Road.

Much like the few NUFC fans who stuck up for Carroll at Liverpool, although they were very outnumbered.

Didn't hear anybody at the game sticking up for Judas. One female after the game did. The one your mate was sitting beside.

Smith is useless to us now. Tiote is far better and I would put Guthrie ahead of Smith. He may as well leave if he really wants football but he is on £60k a week, why would he? His deal must nearly be up.

I've sat in the home and away ends, and the home end experience is good for one thing:

They have women on the concourse sat on stools in dark corners, at little tables, selling Haribo's.

    It's like a Loiners bazaar. <laugh>

Well my home end experience of the Haribo Lady was in December 2007, so God knows if she'll be there.

I've seen Hull there twice and both times been behind the goal, not in the corner. The view's good, apart from the overly-enthusiastic stewards.
In November this season they repeatedly walked up and down the front of the stand, which is bearable if you're not sat on the front row like I was!

We're moving away fans into the southern end of the West Stand next season, so not sure if that will take effect for pre-season games or not. That would mean you had to pay higher prices and you'd be in a side stand with pretty standard facilities and no Haribo ladies. If not, you'll probably get the South Stand and maybe the South East Corner. View's fine in the former, not so good in the latter. Stewards tend to be pretty relaxed pre-season.

We've always been behind the goal, though when I saw England play in Italy there in 2002 was behind the goal with the hard core Leeds fans, also remember despite the fact I was 16 getting into an argument with some tough Leeds fans in a pub about whether Bowyer was a thug or not.

Sat in a pub in Leeds when I was a teenager along with other teenagers and an old girl came and plonked herself down at our table and said, "It's a long time since I've had a young Geordie", you couldn't see us for dust.
