Your first 5 words have to be correct Theo. The rest of your sentiments have to right too if,despite just about everything going the teams way in the last couple weeks, people still find the need to still bring up incidents from earlier matches. Guess some are so blinkered they dont stop to think that fans of another club would doubtless be able to provide video evidence of where their teams had a bad decision AGAINST them Hornets. Swings & Seesaws(!) I call it. Having agreed with yer sentiments I've now gone on about it even more !! Cant give me a red card tho cos am Watford fan (well partly retired)
Well yes, NZ, I'd rather see substitutes allowed for red cards so that the 11 v 10 contest never happens. Penalties for the dismissed player should then match the nature of the offence. As for "cheating", aside from the really blatant cases, it's often a matter of debate whether a player has deliberately looked to con the ref. Our own FF is certainly one who sometimes goes down at the slightest touch. I enjoy his skills, but that aspect of his game is becoming an embarrassment to many WFC fans.
Right well in that case,I'll have something in common with the team on Sat if they dont get at least a draw.(Now that WAS funny eh )?
I say, lets hope Blackpool have a couple sent off on Saturday and we take all three points again. That'd probably make things even for us for the season with the Leeds and Wolves games in the bag. COYH!!
Not at all, just stating the same fact about swings & roundabouts. In fact i think we are playing very well at the moment and have some great options on the pitch/bench/squad, which will only aid us as the season progresses. But you don't beat Leeds 6-1 when they have all 11 players on the pitch, we would probably have still won the match (IMO), but you can't say any more than that without a crystal ball. Just as the loss against Cardiff may still have been a loss if Vydra stayed on the pitch, but i'd put a few quid on it that we'd have got at least a point. Playing against 11 men, 10 men or 9 men, i don't care if we get at least 4 points from our next two away games. As that is what i think our target should be.
And I guess that some are so blinkered that they can't realise that others are merely discussing a 'point of law' rather than an injustice to their team - a refereeing decision that could have been made in any match, just like the Shakhtar goal in another thread.
