All engines lose 8% of power, Mercedes and Ferrari engines will lose more power within that 8% than the Renault and less fuel is needed every lap Might see Seb on real fumes on Saturday
It's definitely going to be a wet race and there's a chance qualifying will be mixed conditions: Friday: Sunny Saturday: 01:00 - Clear Skies 04:00 - Clear Skies 07:00 - Sunny Skies 10:00 - Sunny Skies 13:00 - Sunny Skies (0.1mm) 16:00 - Patchy Rain (1.5mm) 19:00 - Moderate Rain (2.9mm) 22:00 - Moderate Rain (4.3mm) Sunday: 01:00 - Light Rain (2.0mm) 04:00 - Moderate Rain (3.5mm) 07:00 - Heavy Rain (11.3mm) 10:00 - Heavy Rain (11.0mm) 13:00 - Heavy Rain (8.1mm) 16:00 - Moderate Rain (5.2mm) 19:00 - Moderate Rain (4.9mm) 22:00 - Light Rain (2.0mm)
So proportionally RB will be: -Worse off than usual KERS wise -Better off than usual power wise -Worse off than usual fuel weight wise Is there a overall formula
The leading Brazilian authority Climatempo is predicting "intense rain" for qualifying and the race. McLaren's Button commented: "There is a massive chance that it could be chucking it down. It (the title) is definitely not done." http://www.auto123.com/en/racing-news/f1-heads-to-brazil-amid-sao-paulo-crime-wave?artid=150076
What time do the sessions start local time? , I would like to know seeing as I have been reading forecasts all week without knowing what time I should be looking at!
Just adding a few things on what Forza posted. Friday: Sunny Saturday: 01:00 - Clear Skies 04:00 - Clear Skies 07:00 - Sunny Skies 10:00 - Sunny Skies (Practive 3 time) 13:00 - Sunny Skies (0.1mm) 16:00 - Patchy Rain (1.5mm) (Qualifying time) 19:00 - Moderate Rain (2.9mm) 22:00 - Moderate Rain (4.3mm) Sunday: 01:00 - Light Rain (2.0mm) 04:00 - Moderate Rain (3.5mm) 07:00 - Heavy Rain (11.3mm) 10:00 - Heavy Rain (11.0mm) 13:00 - Heavy Rain (8.1mm) 16:00 - Moderate Rain (5.2mm) (Race) 19:00 - Moderate Rain (4.9mm) (Sunset) 22:00 - Light Rain (2.0mm)
The sun sets at 7:36 PM and the race starts at 2pm, so under the new 4hr rule the latest it can run anyway is 6pm. I bet you it will be dry through, every year we're promised storms that rarely come.
The dragons on the side, represent strength, Schumacher has two on either side of his all the time. ------ Hold on, I compared the two dragons, and did a little research, the helmet was designed by his father?? http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2012/11/22/massa-wearing-helmet-inspired-father-home-race/ I eat humble pie.
Vettel is running out of engines, the one he uses for this race will be doing it's third or fourth race. Whereas Alonso can use engine 5 which is almost new, as it's only done FP3 and qualifying at Spa. http://www.vivaf1.com/reliability.php
7 and 4 are fine lol. 4 In particular since that was from Valencia. And engine damage limitation with regards to performance on the Renault is known to be better than the Ferrari
You feel it? I feel it!
The alternator failing in Valencia would have damaged the engine, I take it that's why both him and Grosjean took a new engine for the next race while Webber and Raikkonen didn't. Engine 7 is old, it will be doing it's third race. I read a while ago that an engine loses 12bhp after a race so Alonso's engine advantage could be significant, not just over Vettel but all the drivers. Really? I thought that was the only advantage Ferrari engines had over the other engines. Not that it matters, Alonso has an almost new engine
2006 - Fernando Alonso 2007 - Kimi Raikonnen 2008 - Lewis Hamilton 2009 - Jenson Button 2010 - Adrian Newey 2011 - Adrian Newey 2012 - Probably Adrian Newey A remarkable 3 in a row for a man with a bald patch
Thanks for the link Manny. I don't usually read HamiltonFanatic but I thought this little bit about the weather is quite interesting:
