Yes I remember, and it was everyone else's fault! It was the Manager, his team-mates, his religion............. probably the inflation rate in Guatamala was mentioned an' all.

Tarbs has impressed me no end in the last few games. He was probably the only one along with Nelson last week that gave a sh*t. But Cisse has been a disgrace. It doesn't matter how many goals he scored last year, that's what he was getting paid handsomely to do. This year he hasn't even tried. Disgraceful.

I think Traore has been all right. He f*kked up for the goal at Stoke, but I seen him make many important clearances with his head and get in some very important tackles, and he is good going forward. Not saying much I know, but I think he has been our best defender this season after Nelsen.

I suppose it's hard to beat a defender with speed when you've got a skirt on.

Traore just needs discipline he's a bit wayward and I'm suprised hughes hasn't cracked that but I suppose Hughes line ups have been so completely random it's hardly rocket science

Traore is a bit of a funny character, reminds me of a young Dyer.

There's quality in him but Wenger didn't rate him, Why?

That's true. But does it excuse lack of effort for ninety minutes a week on 50+ grand?

I think it's because he can't concentrate for anything like 90 minutes (just look at him during the game, the number of times he stops and stares into the middle distance, wondering whether he left the gas on); and lacks decision making skills - dithering for goal at Stoke, stopping and cutting inside when going forward when the two things he has going for him are speed and his left foot. Plus he knows he won't be playing when Fabio is fit/ available, though Bosingwa's appalling attitude may save him if Fabio fills in on the right. I had high hopes for this lad, but the more I see of him, the quicker they fade.

Intrestingly this is the first post i've seen where people have slated Granero.
He was sh**e last week but i would put that down to MH and his position, still does not excuse his attitude though.
Still think he is our most complete player, but thats just my opinion.

I watched Tarbsd be crap all last season and never read anything like, "if he doesnt want to fight he can f**K off" .. wonder why?
For the record Tarbs has been one of our best players this season with others. I said I'd give him a fair chance and he's performed really well. Hope he keeps it up although I'm not gonna judge him until the end of the season again as all this b**sh*t with MH must be affecting all our players!

PS..Cisse is prob just p-d off at not getting any service..He is by far our biggest goal threat. If anyone cant se that then I'm amazed TBH !

Not looking forward to Man Utd.and feel for you boys going up there.
Also, why not take Max Ehmer for a run out. He scored the other day !and you can gaurantee he'll try his best !

I've often heard of managers complaining about having to play against 12, but it's usually the ref they are complaining about, not a side actually putting 12 player on the pitch......think it might give us a chance!!!!

To be fair, Swords, I think that Taarabt did receive a fair amount of criticism on the board, certainly in the early part of the season. I recall there being quite a bit of ire expressed when he caught the bus from Fulham, for example. Maybe to an extent he was 'cut some slack' because of the leading part that he'd played the season before and, despite having had his head turned by a dream move to France that subsequently didn't materialise, some of us kept on believing that we'd see the old Taarabt any time soon. I think we started to see this towards the end of last season and he's getting better this time around.

There was an interesting article by Ratboy in last week's Mail On Sunday in which he discussed Ronaldo's return to Manchester ahead of Real's clash with City last night. He talked about when Ronaldo first arrived at United and how frustrated he and a number of the other established pros (such as Scholes) were because Ronaldo was (in his view) unnecessarily selfish with the ball, was all over the place up front, rather than playing in just one position and often chose the audacious over the obvious. Whilst much of this was attributed to Ronaldo's lack of maturity at the time, Ratboy also acknowledged that Fergie had deliberately created an environment where he could flourish and display his array of skills, whilst instructing the rest of the team to embrace this too. Ratboy became a convert to this.

Now I accept that Taarabt ain't no Ronaldo and Warnock certainly ain't no Fergie - his nose isn't purple enough for starters - and QPR ain't no Manchester United, but there are definitely similarities there. I've said on this board in the past that its worth a go recreating this environment. Taarabt is still volatile and immature and needs to feel loved and special, and managed with patience and understanding in order to get the best out of him. It may well be argued that there is no space to indulge one player like this in the PL, but we've seen that this is exactly what United did. I'd say its worth the risk given our current plight, but it requires the other 10 working that much harder to support this system; and this takes us back to the question of desire.

Another article I read last week was Michael Lynagh discussing the England v Australia rugby match at Twickers, and the appointment of Chris Robshaw as captain. He welcomed this appointment, citing Robshaw as a good leader, but stressed that all successful teams have leaders in every position. This is what the Rs lack the most right now, but had in spades during the promotion campaign, when we saw the likes of Taarabt, Hill, Derry, Faurlin, Helgusson and Mackie all lead by example when it mattered.

Is that the Radek Cerny who's not even in the squad you're picking, or a different Cerney?
