No matter what anyone thinks of the current gaffer... his tactics, team /captain selection, general gloominess etc.... 11 months and no away win just can't be excused at any level. Even with the most optimistic of mind sets you can't justify sticking by it. I know the negativity doesn't help things but I can't help think we are now just a vehicle for what's to be one of the worst runs and manager stats in premiership history. It's just so typical of our beloved club and the only ones that really suffer at the end of it is us.... All together..... Hoopssaaaa!
First, we need a win in the boardroom before win can expect a win at home or away. Hughes gone ............... our team starts winning. I wish winning lotto was that simple.
We had the chance to win away by accident. Wednesday 1st February 2012 v Aston Villa. We were leading 2-0 when we Allowed Villa to get back into the game on the stroke of half time with a goal from Bent. In the second half we went on the back foot N'Zobia equalised and we were lucky to escape with a 2-2 draw. In hindsight, the writing was on the wall regarding Hughes and his negative tactics.
Very lucky to get a point there, one of two he has managed! Northolt_QPR ‏@Northolt_QPR Will Hughes get the chance to add 2 more L's, to his less than impressive #QPR away record? LDLLLLLLLDLLLLL #SurelyNot
I think it will be a long time before we see a manager with a record as bad as that. He is certainly special, once in a generation.
Two points out of a possible forty five?????? That's 2 pts out of 45!!! Even Sir Stephen Hawking is flummoxed by this mathematical improbability.
Well as a Sunderland fan I hope your wait lasts another week or so (although you can win if you're away on Saturday! but you play United don't you?) (Sorry!) Doesn't always work where you should win "by accident" - we went a year without an away win then got 2 in a row!!!
