Yes. I think you could be right about tyres, although I now do not see Alonso stealing the 2012 WDC from Vettel.
Sao Paulo has always been terrible for crime. Disregarding Button's little incident I'm fairly certain its crime statistics are pretty high and it frequently gets violent.
Quite right, Silver. What really bothers me right now is the number of Police deaths. In the last month or so there have been around 100â¦
I can tell you for certain that it's not just rumours. This place is seriously nasty. It's a bit like gambling when you think the odds are in your favour: they probably are but there's no real accounting for luck. One hedges one's bets based on one's beliefs and one takes one's chance by putting one's life in someone else's hands (at least partly). As I said in another thread recently, I expect to be able to recount the ordeal this time next week…
Yes, that's just how it is there and the wealthy all live in bubbles of high-security. When you travel by car it's windows and doors locked all the time, be extra vigilant at traffic lights etc. It sounds a bit scary but in Sao Paulo it's perfectly normal and I suppose Button was lax about this in some way.
What is worrying is that in Brazil they consider Interlagos to be a Middle class area, hate to think what the really bad areas are like. Hamilton and Button will be travelling in armored vehicles at all times this weekend. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/mo...nson-Button-warns-of-risks-at-Interlagos.html

Rain it is then - could we see the WDC decided on the perfect set up rather than the perfect car - I.e. someone gambles on an extreme condition.
RBR could steal another front row lockout here if it stays dry, the air is thinner = less drag for downforce.
I just had a dream that the WDC was actually decided in Abu Dhabi. In the last 12 or so laps the order was Maldonado--Vettel-Alonso----------------------Massa--Webber--Hamilton---Button-Raikkonen. Alonso got past Vettel and Maldonado in one move and Maldonado got passed by Vettel as well. But Maldonado fought back and rammed into the back of him. Neither retired but Maldonado was able to rejoin in 3rd, and Vettel was stuck in some gravel (in Abu Dhabi?) and had to rejoin beind the train of cars. And so Alonso won the WDC!
A question about drivers only winning in the best car was asked. Vettel answered really well in the press conference, others who question drivers abilities because "they were only in the best car" should listen to the conference.
KERS doesn't get affected by the altitude (obviously) so those with the best KERS will have a bit more of an advantage to. That said red bull know a trick or two.
