All events will be announced tonight. Unfortunately it's all ticket. Anybody on here off? When and who will the friendly be against?
Is it a testimonial year or to the end of the season? If it is a year then the match will be at the start of next season as we will probabaly be involved in the playoffs at the end of this saeson! Spurs was mentioned due to the family link but can not see that really.
The game isn't yet decided, but we're looking at Celtic along with a few others. It's all about getting the best deal for Andy's charity (Daisy Appeal) so previous clubs, family links etc. aren't really being considered. It will definitely be next summer, probably the last week before the season starts. The events are indeed all being announced tonight, but I've mentioned them all on the other testimonial thread before. There's a games night, a bowling thing, a boxing event, golf day, 'question of sport' style quiz thingy, gala dinner with the wembley squad and a couple of other things.
No Stripper? No Red Nosed Comedian? No Jimmy Bullard? Perhaps we could combine the three by having Bullard tied to a stake in the middle of the pitch as the crowd queue up to publicly **** upon him and strippers dance round as Chubby Brown tells his favourite gags? Just a thought, but I bet we'd get a bumper crowd!
Proschwitz has turned up in a t-shirt. The scruffy get. EDIT: Chester's parents appear to be back, as Mr. Chester has let him borrow his jumper.
Not sure. Streams of urine, pools of vomit, anti British chanting, petty vandalism, general lowlife nailed on. Big Jock Gnu you know
It would be interesting to know which of the squad turned up for the launch this evening. You would hope all of them (that are not on loan) but that, I'm sure isn't the case.
Nick gave a decent speech tonight. He'll be at a couple of the other events too. Just the current players that are in TWF's pic. I'm not sure they were all invited, and Andy certainly wasn't expecting them all to turn up.
I was there was a pretty good night. Shame Brownie got stuck on the M62 and Taylor sent a good message which was a nice touch. Also Big Nick seems to get on well with the lads, so the 'outcast' rumours can be put to bed. Also Barmby did a great speech, also made a joke that Daws shouldn't get into the management game.
