Big Gezzers feeble performance against Boro cost us a play off chance, not that I'm holding that against him His passing is shockingly poor, he has NO pace but he's a big character. He's definitely not premier league class but he his dependable, that's it for me. I think Chester has been equally good if not better at centre half. His passing, control and pace is way better than Gerrards. Had Ayala stayed I also think he'd have better. For me without a shadow of a doubt Rosenior was player of the season. Poor decision to name a loanee, poorer decision to name a player who can't pass the ffffing ball.
Gerrard didnt cost us against Boro, Dawson did! He was directly at fault for 2 of the goals which effectively put us out of the game!
Good decision. He was my top choice anyway, even though there is an equally good case for Rosenior. Let's just hope he will be competing for the same honour this time next year...
Rosenior for me, hasn't put a foot wrong...and he's ours, Gerrard wants to go back to Cardiff and isn't interested in staying.
I think that's what makes me want him to stay as first choice CB, you can't go wrong with a goal scoring defender.
I don't think it's that he's not interested. He's going to base his decision on whether Cardiff go up or not, and who can blame him for that, at 25 it's probably his last chance at getting premiership football, which we certainly can't hold against him.
