A guitarist in a band i was in had a corn snake, I think it was called (it was red).

It bit my shoe but it had been de-fanged so there was no danger.

    Still don't trust the ****s <ok>

I had a Californian Kingsnake as a pet. He bit me once when I put my hand back into his tank when his food was already in the tank with him. He saw movement and swallowed my finger up to the middle knuckle. I can admit I shrieked like a girl.

He was a constrictor but uses his mouth to grab his prey before constricting it, and to that end they have small needle backwards pointing teeth with which to grip their prey.

So there I was, shrieking like a jessie waving my arm around in the air with a five foot snake hanging off the end until he finally let go.

That is one **** pet. "I'm thinking of getting a pet, something easy to look after. What'll I get, a gerbil, a goldfish, or a ****ing reptile with sharp teeth that dives up your trouser leg?"

I think exotic species should live somewhere...exotic. My bird has been on about getting a tortoise for years but I kept trying to put her off, had one as a kid, it died. Bloke at her work gave her a terrapin. Now she wants to get it a mate. Help me.

The best pet to get is a spider. Don't have to feed it, no walks, no vet bills, no flies in the house, no **** to clean up. Pretty much looks after itself.<ok>

Snakes are class. One of my favourite animals, along with the tiger and gorilla.
