He's been a top keeper for over a decade, he didn't become **** just because he had a poor Euro's(and he did indeed have a poor Euro's).

So if Bruce signed Given along with Fraizer Campbell in January (two premiership players), city fans would be unhappy?

I'm not saying I'd kick off if we signed him, it'd be quite exciting to get a big name player even if I don't rate him any more. But I don't think we need to go mad over it and use this story as yet another means to bash Amos, as Glennon is doing.

Pissypants.

I just stated Amos isn't very good (at the moment) which is what I have consistently said. He makes too many costly mistakes in important situations. He may well go on to be Englands first choice keeper, but right now he IS not what we need, if we had a better keeper in goal - we'd be top of the league IMHO. Which will be why Bruce has identified/made approaches for 3 keepers in the last week. It's not difficult, I'm sure EVEN you can see that?

Pissypants? <ok>

You've just helped ISTPLT more than you've helped yourself.

You could just argue your points reasonably but instead you belittle people for disagreeing with you.

I haven't helped him at all. He seems to be of the opinion that we should all think Amos is great. I disagree, and therefore I'm in the wrong, despite our manager clearly looking for a new keeper? Hardly.

I particularly like our moderators use of the word 'Pissypants' is that not 'belittling' and juvenile name calling? Thanks for your input though, no really. If you support a moderator, one day you might get to be one <ok>

I certain think in the championship he would be an excellent keeper to have. His experience would also help the back 3 or 4 whichever system we would be playing.

Again, you're exaggerating and putting words in peoples mouths.

And yes, "pissypants" is what you could call belittling and juvenile name calling, but it's been only been used in retaliation to you (I'll try not to sound to primary school here) starting it off in the first place.

As moderators don't get to choose their successors, I doubt any agreement/disagreement with one will progress any sort of campaign of mine either way <ok>

This is the last time I'm going to allow myself to get sucked in - I've said my piece.

I reckon Brucie has put in a ridiculous offer of contributing £1500 a week towards Givens wages and was told not to be a daft lad.

That's providing Villa have come in and offered 1.5 million for JC.

Daft bid meets daft bid.

'We can play this game as long you can Mr Lambert' said Mr Bruce.

Burnsy reckons we're signing David Stockdale (Fulham keeper) on loan tomorrow.

Just seen this regarding stockdale. Hope it's true as he was supposed to be very highly thought of. I know he had a difficult loan at Ipswich last season but that was probably more down to those in front of him I'd guess.

From Wikipedia:

Due to Mark Schwarzer being injured in pre-season and being linked with a move to Arsenal, Stockdale was the first choice goalkeeper at Fulham at the start of the season. He started the season by keeping a clean sheet at Bolton Wanderers and he followed this up by saving a penalty kick at Craven Cottage against Manchester United in a 2–2 draw on 22 August.
He continued his run in the team in January due to Schwarzer's participation in the AFC Asian Cup, starting with West Bromwich Albion where he kept a clean sheet. He went on to appear in five further games during January. Stockdale played 10 games under manager Mark Hughes during the 2010–11 season with seven of these coming in the Premier League.
In June 2011, new Fulham manager Martin Jol said he wanted to loan Stockdale out to get a regular run of games, but had no intention of selling the player. With Fulham signing Hungarian goalkeeper Csaba Somogyi to help facilitate a loan move, Stockdale revealed after interest from Swansea City that he would be willing to join the club and also was willing to drop down to the Championship in order to get regular football with Leeds United also interested in signing the player. Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers made signing Stockdale his priority, although his side had a £2 million bid rejected on 11 July. The following day Stockdale revealed that he would "love to help my hometown club back to where they belong" if a move to Leeds became an option for him. Stockdale revealed "complications" halted his move to Leeds.
On 26 July 2011, Stockdale signed a new four-year contract with Fulham and subsequently went out on a one-year loan to Championship side Ipswich Town. Having made 18 appearances for Ipswich he was re-called by Fulham on 14 December, due to Mark Schwarzer's injury.
