Depends how you look at it. Domestically it was poor. In Europe it was brilliant. Edit we are talking 2009 here arent we? That was a poor season. Biggest achievement was winning 4-1 at OT.
Yeah, I think they also beat real madrid 4-0 that season. They played some great football that season.
are we judging managers now based on one game or a couple of them Rafa is clueless .. just look to how many players he sold just after signing them .. turned a classy inter into $hit .. spend more than UTD with Liverpool yet were still in UTD's tail .. and that is a FAKT
In fact a name when that crops up any manager is sacked and there's a chance of a backhander in the offing.
Judge him in what he won during his time at Liverpool, the CL and an FA Cup in 6yrs(Super Cup, CL runners up Prem runners up)compared to Fergies first 6yrs at Utd FA Cup, League Cup and CWC.
That Inter side had major problems post Jose that they're only really sorting out now. The Inter team were also far from classy - Rafa was actually praised for implementing passing football in the first months of his appointment. But I'm sure you have the right to call a decorated manager clueless
Well.... Technically Fergie also finished second in 92 and he won a CWC at the first attempt after English clubs were unable to compete in Europe for 5 years. Of course the real difference is obvious. Fergie continued to improve where as Rafa started well and went backwards.
There were only a few months altogether and he received very little if any praise. Quite the opposite
