I find it difficult to argue with that.

    He's been superb.

When he first joined in league one and couldnt stop scoring he was electric.

Dyers knows with Marshall, Knockaert and Gallagher on the books he has to play well or he wont be picked

I agree - he is playing his best since his first season with us.

My view is that he lacks self-belief sometimes - and therefore goes anonymous in games - I don't think he has the best first touch in the world, but he can if he gets the ball early, go past most full-backs with his sheer pace ... the final ball has been a problem but that does seem to have improved lately ..

It seems to have clicked with him that he doesnt have to cross it - he can pass the ball in the goal area. His final ball (passing) against Ipswich was top notch

Can't argue with the stats- scored one, assisted 2 and won a penalty (does that count as an assist). Was helped by absolutely catastrophic defending by Bradley Orr, who he absolutely skinned. Also check out the awful defending on the highlights by Chambers for the penalty!

He had one good game, if his shot/cross (which was off target btw) against Forest hadn't gone in, they wouldn't be praising him.
Im not his biggest fan, but his pace on a bad day would still beat Marshall on a bad day, although Marshalls corners/free kicks/crosses are better than Dyers no matter what day they are on.

Waggy takes the best corners - the pace and whip he gets on the ball is amazing

Marshall's going to replace him in the long run- was quite surprised to learn Dyer's 30 considering his pace, but that will surely have to go sometime soon. Credit where credit's due, Dyer's not giving his place up without a fight, and that increased competition for the wing places must be a good thing- remember last year when Dyer was out of form and before we signed Marshall? Gone are the days of playing Waghorn and Vassell on the wings. Marshall has more chance of taking Knockaert's place than Dyer's at this rate.

Ben Marshall will get back into the team soon. It's just a case of him finding his form again
