i think he may have been joking, following on from me pointing out the butterfield error

 

this is our current loanee team as i make it:

Smith Adeyimi Butterfield
Vaughan C Martin

not a bad team - just missing one player?

 

That's how I read it, Redruth is not normally prone to errors like that.

he's not on loan. we gave him a free in the summer

that team of loanees above isn't too bad really - would rip league one a new one and would possibly have enough to compete in the championship, albeit probably nearer the bottom than the top (or at least it would if you stuck another player in there! ten men each week would be tough going...)

 

Well then I apologise, I was under the impression he was on loan at Leicester but I stand corrected..

 

We offered him a new contract but were unwilling to meet his wage demands!

I know there is no room for sentiment in football but it is such a shame we are unlikely to see him in yellow again. Good move for him

I'm glad for him, he deserves to play some football and he'll always be a club legend and I hope he scores some scorchers for them.

 

Has Lappin ever scored anything other than screamers? Off the top of my head, I can only remember him scoring brilliant goals. Quality over quantity.

I remember when him and Fotheringham signed, Fotheringham was billed as the big signing who was going to be a big player for us, Lappin got short-shrift. Oh how wrong that turned out to be.

 

so it's the last day for emergency loans for championship clubs today - will we make it a whole 11 players out on loan then? any potentials - Leon Barnett, Andrew Surman maybe?
