Yeah conceded 2 poor goals to Birmingham. He was fantasic As for Morgan getting in he had nothing to do. Zak Whitbread did more then Morgan
Do you blame your right back for goals scored past your left back? Actually, forget that, you probably do.
Not the same really, is it? I've played Centre Half all my life (obviously not the same level but the point stands) and you don't just say 'oh, it wasn't my side' when you concede a goal.
Did you see the goals? You could make an argument for the second but Chester was as much at fault for their first as Osama Bin Laden. As for your clearly superior knowledge from probably playing 4 veteran games for a pub team, I don't think that counts for much. Also the dynamics of being a centre-half in a back 3 are very different to that of a centre-half in a back 4. Guessing your team never went with a 3-5-2 though.
You do talk some ****e. If you're playing on the right of a back three and the opposing left winger shoots, what's the defender on the right supposed to do? He 20 yards away for ****s sake, Chester has many talents, but the ability to teleport is one he hasn't yet mastered.
If you can't get your head around why a defender who has kept a clean sheet gets in a team of the week against one who doesn't then words fail me.
Brilliant. Nice retraction from your point there to one I had no input on when you realised you were talking nonsense. If you're chosing to accept you were wrong and would prefer to discuss this topic again, then very well, but at least admit it. For the record, I think the team of the week is bollocks, we've had players who've done nothing get in there and players who've had the game of their lives not, so I never even look at it.
If you concede two goals then you've not done as well as someone who has kept a clean sheet. It's not like Birmingham scored 2 40 yarders, is it? Both were ****e goals to concede. The 2nd goal, love how he just lets King get the ball and turn. Didn't get anywhere near him. I can't tell who he is for the first, but there are about 3 who look like him and none do their job properly. Two don't close the shot down and the other one doesn't win his header.
As I said, you can make a case for the second, although I thought it was more Faye's fault on my first couple of viewings. Chester was playing on the right side of a back 3 and was in exactly the right place for defending their first. It should've been a midfielder closing Morrison down, failing that a left sided centre-half (Bruce) or even possibly Rosenior, but certainly not Chester. I think if Faye gets a hat-trick and we win 3-2 against Burnley with none of the blame for their goals falling at his feet and you won 1-0 with Nugent scoring, no-one would suggest Whitbread would've had a better game than Faye if he had nothing to do.
I think your missing the point, Proud claimed that Chester must have been **** because we conceded two goals, that was bollocks, it's got nothing to do with who's in the team of the week and you desperately tried to back up his bollocks, with some bollocks of your own.
His team has conceded 2 and he hasn't been uninvolved in either. Really can't see what you don't understand. Might not have been '****', but he's hardly setting the world alight, is he?
But that's not the point, is it? No point going into theoretics. Morgan had a better game and the stats show that. Wes Morgan did exactly what he was asked to do and he did it perfectly. Chester has scored a goal, yes, but he's not showered himself in glory for two goals that you conceded. Seriously not rocket science.
"Hasn't been uninvolved in either" What? He did his job for their first, not his fault at all. Can't comment on Morgan as I did not watch your game, perhaps you should reserve the same judgement of our players considering you didn't see our game either. Then again, you can't question Proud_Fox's and your judgement. All your players are better than all our players, your manager & coaching staff are better, you're scoring loads and not conceding any. You must be really bewildered as to why you're below us sometimes?
