Not a surprise, it's been coming for a couple of weeks, we're into Abramovich's favoured sacking period. Welcome to Chelsea Mr Guardiola...
Very swift this. In their statement, something along the lines of "An announcement will be made soon on a new manager" - ****ing 'ell! Rob was only on the touchline 12 hours ago. Seems they've got the new guy lined up, scarf in hand and ready for the press now. Unscrupulous that Abramovich.
I wonder how the players think about all this. Do you reckon they stuck another one bites the dust on and have a party at training?
Agreed it's Madness. I'm guessing they'll try target Pep Guardiola. If he's interested that's another matter.
A disgraceful way to treat the man who turned them into Champions of Europe - what does Abramovich want?
Abramovic most probably didn't even want to appoint RDM in the summer. Just have him in the hot seat until Pep was available
He wants everything, league, champs league, fa cup, league cup, wants ten all immediately and consecutively. You'd think he might finally realise hell never get anyone to manage that. The gus a cock and responsible for the ridiculous inflation over here, I hope someone really tortures him and cuts him into tiny little pieces.
Only a money grabbing fool would take that job, Man City will be heading down that road soon. Whats the difference with Pep? He will need time to sort the squad/tactics out, Roberto DM should have been given at least this season to build something. Its ok throwing cash at managers to get them at these clubs, but you have got to question there motivation for taking the job. Cash or love of the game?? I wouldn't go anywhere near Abramovich, whatever cash he throws - just a matter of time before your the next bag of ****e to **** his toy up.
I think what he really wants is for Chelsea to win all of those playing football a la Barca. It's one of the reasons Mourinho got sacked, and although Chelsea won the Champions League, they did it by "parking the bus". I did see a rumour earlier this week, or last week that Guardiola may be tempted out of his 12 month sabbatical. I'm guessing Abramovich tempted him...
It's all well and good everyone saying that they wouldn't take the job, whatever the money offered, but when the offer is £300k a week, they'd give it a go... http://www.caughtoffside.com/2012/1...-to-take-blues-managerial-reigns-next-summer/
Breaking News: Rafa Benitez has been sacked as Chelsea manager, after failing to win anything since taking over this morning.
Rumour is Benitez for a short term stint - seems a bit random, although I assume he wants pep or Jose 'longer' term. Let's hope he doesn't call AA asking about SB's availability....,
