Very disappointed that Di Matteo has left he did a brilliant job but his morale has dropped which is why he walked as results haven't been kind recently. It it looks like the Chelsea board have persuaded Guardiola to become our permanent manager which will be a great appointment this will boost our squad morale. Guardiola likes to coach a creative style of play his tactics will suit our style of play.

    Firstly it's R.A not R.I.

Secondly, the only reason RDM got to take us to the C.L last year was because of the trigger happy firing of AVB. Roman didn't show patience then and look how that worked out.

It's not a great day to be a Chelsea fan but ultimately Roman constantly does this and we've constantly had success under him so it could be worse, we could be Arsenal!!

    Whoops <laugh>

AVB would never have turned it round last season, he was a shocking appointment in the first place. Even Spurs fans probably now have sympathy now he is not producing as they had hoped. RDM Showed he could turn it around and really surprised that he has not been given the chance to do it again.

    Well that's true enough <laugh>

A manager who wants to get very rich very quickly. AVB was paid off something like £13million for 7 months work.

Not particularly surprising. RDM was only supposed to be a caretaker in the first place. He won the CL using up a whole career's worth of luck and his league record is well short of what you'd expect with the squad and resources at his disposal. In terms of performances and long-term success what had he done to persuade anyone he is anything other than the guy who was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.

Sacking AVB was the big mistake.

Well most football will not understand the decision to sack RDM, only the rich nutcase owner does. I suppose he wanted him sacked last year but winning two cups made that difficult.

Absolute garbage. Guardiola has never coached at any level a team that was not full of superstars. He is not famous for bringing on young talent, and is by no means the right man to lift our team, sorry, your team, which is a work in progress. He has never had any pressure to succeed, since there are only 2 teams in Spain.
I think he will fail miserably in the PL and Abramovich, yet again will make a disasterous footballing decision. My over riding hope is that this is what will happen because Abramovich will then have no one else to blame except himself.
Abramovich. Chelseas' best friend, his own worst enemy.

Right then.... This is absolutely disgraceful from the club and I feel appalled, ashamed and above all embarrassed tbh. He is a Chelsea legend and saved our season last season. He won an FA Cup and he won the farking holy grail in the Champions League! He wins that in May and he is sacked in November. I can't see the logic with the reasoning behind it all! The club must have someone in place to come and take over. We have one of our biggest games of the season on Sunday and we currently have no manager!

You can sense that it's what Roman always wanted. He took too much time over appointing RDM full tie. He wants a big name at the helm and Robbie wasn't that. He also wants his £50 mil flop to start scoring but that isn't going to happen!I am livid, as are most Chelsea fans. Probably one of the worst decisions the club has ever made.

Completely agree, in my eyes he's pretty much unproven, i think Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and the rest of them would make a lot of coaches look good. Big gamble for you guys taking him on, as someone said, what if he fails, where do you go from there? Lot of faith to put in a guy who's done nothing without what was easily the best squad in the world.

Chelsea's long term plan seems to revolve around one guy and what if Man City get beat 2-0 tonight, does Mancini go tomorrow morning and if so, does Guardiola not at least consider going to City?

Bleedin outrageous! As much as I appreciate what RA has done for us he's dropped a big clanger here! Our recent results have had more to do with missing players and inadequate replacements! OK some of our big manager turnover deserved the tin tack--AVB, Scolari in particular--but Robbie!!

I think the way Barca are carrying on as usual without him indicates he maybe didn't do all that much, either that or his assistant is an equal genius. It's Barca, I could probably manage them to CL/LL victory.

No manager with integrity will goto Chelsea now, the only managers that will be tempted are those looking for the inevitable pay off next year when they get sacked.
