Well this Strling can certainly be described as 'box to box' with all the kids he's got knocking about <ok>

He won't be considered a true Scouser until he's got a few kids by different women and a couple of convictions for assault. Good on the lad for trying to integrate on Merseyside.

I was interviewed under caution years ago when I grabbed this teenage gobhite breaking into my garage in Bromborough. A week later they admitted the scrote had form and had coughed for dozens more in the area.I'd probably still have not heard a thing had I not had old scoolmates in the Merseyside force who chased it for me.

Some twat vadalised my car a month later though...<steam>

Point is, don't let the phrase "under caution" set any alarm bells ringing though.

If he wasn't arrested it means they didn't have reasonable grounds to actually physically take him to the police station under custody.

    I learnt this today :afro:

Interesting that in their training the police are taught to build a case against you once they have you in a police station. What ever happened to seeking the truth?

In fairness they're MEANT to have at least enough of a case to justify arrest before you reach the station. But it doesn't seem to work that way in practice.

Sorry to hear your story. However, "under caution" means he wasn't being interviewed as merely a witness, which was the post I was responding to.

That's intriguing. he shouldn't have been drinking anyway, but what are the licensing laws re underage presence in pubs and clubs? was that what he was questioned under caution for? Got to be honest, I worked behind bars (pubs and clubs that is!) when at uni decades ago :)emoticon-0101-sadsm) and the rule in pubs was generally that if they don't come to the bar to buy it, and as long as they aren't kicking off, turn a blind eye. But if it was Saturday lunchtime we chucked them out!

Dunno what the rules are now, as must pubs are also restaurants too now (they are in York) and i often go with my 16 year old daughter for pub lunches and occassional evening meals. Never had a problem.

Clubs ID you on the way in, or are meant to.

Mentioning you have a legal daughter...<doh>

These boys have previous form in this area, Dongo. Ask RHC, if you don't believe me! <laugh>

Underage people are usually shepherded out before 10.30pm, unless they are in with their folks, aren't they?

That went over my head, but yes, I've never been in a pub that late having a meal with her.

Btw, is it just me who finds eating in pubs cheaper by far than cafes? I don't drink any more (health reasons), so here in York particulary, you get cheap food as a loss leader but don't have to pay £5 for a bloody pint! Mind you, it's £3 for a J20 or £2 for a cup of tea.

And today's episode of Mrs Brady, Old lady was brought to you by Donga....

Sorry Dongo, it's a long running joke. People (no names: not me I hasten to add!) are always asking RHC to post pics of his daughters and try to get him to set them up with them, etc. <laugh>

Seriously though, the food you can get in pubs is quality fare and very reasonable, too. We have a couple of Wetherspoons here and they give massive portions of decent food, and you can get two meals for about £5-6. Can't go too far wrong, TBH. <ok>
