There's no way Juve were 3 goals better than us. The scoreline flattered them hugely. They were at best 2 goals better. RDM's misplaced faith in Luiz continues to cost him. For all 3 goals Luiz jogging back as the other players bust a gut to get back in. Both the 2nd and 3rd goals came as a direct result of Luiz. The fact is we were toothless today in the 2nd half but at 1-0 a game is never lost. No shame in losing away to Juve but you have to win all your home games. Throwing away the 2-0 lead at home to Juve cost us nothing else. I was gutted to find out a few weeks ago Juve was the penultimate game. I was pretty relaxed as I thought the game in Turin would be meaningless based on the hope we beat the Danish team at home. But the fact is there is no incentive for Shaktar to win. It would be perfectly reasonable for them and Juve to draw 0-0 so that both go through. Groups have been fixed before (Lyon 7-1 Dinamo Zagreb) Anybody that saw Shaktar's 1st "goal" today will see they are hardly a side that upholds sportsmanship.
Sorry, DL, but they were all over you like a rash. They brought out RDM's short-comings. I know you don't want to see that, but that fact does not make it true. I am not wumming. My best mate is a Chelsea fan, and I love him to bits, but he is being far more honest than you.
People do tend to be a lot more diplomatic and unconvincingly modest when they know each other and are face to face rather than when they are talking to a stranger online.
I'd be the first person to hold my hands up when we've been made to look like a pub team. Atletico should have won by 6 or 7 in the SuperCup. A game a few years back we lost to Spurs and it should have been 7 or 8 in your favour but there's no way that was a 3-0 game.
The knives are out for RDM and the rags and Sky/Fox are reporting Rafa Benitez will be a short term replacement if he does get the sack. http://www.foxsports.com.au/footbal...atteo-at-chelsea/story-e6frf4a3-1226521157253 Can't see it myself because Benitez is looking for a full time job but he was linked with Chelsea when AVB got the push.
Juve were in complete control second half. Clear which team was a group that all cared about their club, had played together over a period of time etc. They wanted it a lot more and it showed - plus, they have quality. Chelsea really needed to bring on a striker though, not sure why they brought on that Spanish bloke
Well played Juve. Very good team. Better than most Prem sides. Let's hope we can sort the team out before Xmas unlike previous years! BUT: We aren't out yet. Two games away from being World Champions. Third in the league. Don't be despondent Blues. Agreed, any Prem club only having two (ordinary) strikers is ridiculous
Please don't go wearing the badge of world 'champions' if you win, like scum did. Pointless competition. Anyway, I don't think it shows the shortcomings of Chelsea, much more of our league in all. Last year we got shown up, bar your defensive displays and now I can't see any of our teams making the semis.
He won one of 2 Champions League finals he got LFC into, you know, that competition that you Spuds demand to be in every season.
