Well some of the good luck you've had recently rebounded on you with Juve getting two deflections which is your normal forte. You were lucky not to lose to Juve in the first game as they hit the woodwork late on to deny them a win. But you're not out of it yet are you?

  2. How am I wumming?

I said right at the start of the season that RDM was going to be a suspect for the sack, early on. Given your owner's notorious shortness of patience, and RDM's current performance, I cannot be faulted, can I?

Please, DL, don't fall into the Mouser trap of shooting the messenger.

I may not be saying anything that you like to hear, but that fact does not make me a wum.

AVB did better in league last season than RDM
AVB didn't have attacking options RDM is having now to be fair
I think RDM was better to manage old chelsea while AVB could had fit new chelsea better with all those attacking options

Torres actually started the 11/12 season well, got the red card then was dropped by AVB without explanation, had a reported bust up and went back to his usual self.

How were we lucky in the final? We were playing away from home against arguably the 2nd/3rd best side in Europe with 4 guaranteed starters missing from our line up, we had to rush back 2 CB's from injury who weren't even fully fit & had only played together twice before yet saw out the 120 mins. Then we won on penalties facing the Bayern end. The Germans did not miss one pen. Cech did his homework, watched videos for hours on each penalty taker. That isn't luck<doh>

As for Barca name me one clear cut chance they had against us? Bar the pen which came from a dive I can't think of any. We had lost Cahill, Luiz & Terry (latter due to suspension). We had Bosingwa playing at CB, Ramires at RB and even Drogba at RWB for the majority of the game. Everything conspired against us. At 2-0 with us down to 10 men bookies were already paying out on Barca to win. We were at 999/1 to draw the game. I don't see how that's lucky. Sometimes you just have to be a football fan and commend grit and determination when you see it, I was quick to do the same with Spurs memorable 4-4 and 2-3 comebacks at the Emirates.

Messi has never scored against Chelsea. Barca have never beaten Chelsea 11 v 11. Barca consistently struggle against Chelsea home and away and have a poor record against them. Barca's record in Britian is abysmal (even Celtic beat them the other day). To use Freudian Theory There's no such thing as coincidence. It isn't luck, it's mentality

"Luck" is something that happens spontaneously and maybe once or twice, if it repeatedly happens it isn't luck it's just a team being dogged and determined, which we were. If Spurs had a mentality like that to match their undoubted ability we'd be sitting here talking about who Spurs are going to get in the CL next round. I'm not singling out Spurs the same applies to a lot of Southern clubs with this soft mentality i.e Fulham, QPR, Palace, Arsenal, West Ham as well even Sorry but "Southern Softy" does ring true for a lot of our clubs.

Juve didn't deserve to win though. We wasted a good chance to make it 3-0 and paid for it. Shaktar (who lost) would have been far more worthy winners. Juve were average at best which made it all the more annoying

Luiz was the best defender we had on the pitch tonight. Cahill was poor, Cole terrible, Ivan mediocre. Cech was outstanding.
The front runners and Ramires giving the ball away every 2nd pass puts our defence under huge pressure against a team with Pirlo running the show. Time EVERYONE upped their defensive imput. It's not just Luiz making mistakes, they all are.

No surprises here....no guts, no glory.Think Hansen was right on the money when he said we would win a lot of admirers but little silverware with this team - RDM has been landed in the smelly stuff by the lack of attacking options and the stringent "entertain or bust" orders from upstairs. I give it 2/3 weeks before we can think about getting our season back on track......ho hum Europa here we come.

District, there were matches when you didn't deserve to win so Juve have done a Chelsea and that's all. I don't look at stats considering them a waste of time but if you look at them Juve certainly deserved it.

I can't work out if you are a chelsea fan or a wind up merchant in disguise!

All last night proved is that John Terry is worth his weight in gold, we need a striker and a defender to lead the line like Terry, two many times are defensive shape crumbled with people stringing out in a line, rather than two straight backs of 4. Can't wait for JT to get back to the team.

Well London's Only, some of your supporters are divided as to your performance last night aren't they? Nothing wrong in supporters having differing opinions is there so what are you yapping about? Could be in the EL yourselves soon so chin up.

Last night proved what many have been denying for a long time, that Terry, Lampard and Drogba are near on irreplaceable. Take them out and the heart that has been this Chelsea teams for 7-8 years is gone. We need to get some steel back into this side and quick.

Nice try DL: but a 999 to 1 chance only comes in once in 999 times. A better definition of luck would be hard to come by. That doesn't mean that Chelsea didn't have the mentality you mention and deserved the result - it simply means that you could play exactly the same way again and get thoroughly beaten most of the time.

Not saying it wasn't a resilient performance against Barca. I was on here saying Boswinga was outstanding (and you rewarded him in your usual way for those performances), but not many will say you were the better team. Barca were taking turns to shoot at will at your goal and on another day would have scored 3/4 of them.

Barca did not have many clear cut chances at the NC. At our place. they have three or four great chances
