I said at the time I felt the 2-2 draw with Juve would come back to bite us in the ass. In truth we've not been good enough. This is a side in transition and it was always going to take some time for our new style of football to work. Juve and Shaktar would beat any PL side on their own ground, they are both strong outfits. There's little RDM can do. The only thing I'd criticise RDM for is playing Luiz but apart from that he played my ideal XI from the off.

RDM shouldn't be under scrutiny here, the man is a legend. Without him we wouldn't even be playing the likes of Juve tonight, I just hope the Fat Cats upstairs recognise that before making any decisions.

RDM was never my ideal choice but the minimum he deserves is 2 more windows. Young managers will make mistakes. RDM tonight changed the team, he was willing to take a risk. I like that, that's something AVB would never have done under similar circumstances.

Thursday and Sunday will be annoying but that's life, we'll be back in the CL next year so no worries <ok>

Can't we do something to get thrown out Europe for the rest of the season? Playing in the Europa League just isn't ideal.

I admire your optimism DL but forget AVB. A lot of Chelsea supporters are still talking about him which is a total waste of time. Nobody knows what AVB is capable of doing over the course of a full season as he was sacked after only a few months with you. It could be that he could finish strongly so we'll just have to wait and see.

Can you really credit RDM with your wins last season as he was only there half a season? He took you down the league a place or two didn't he? He shouldn't be under scrutiny perhaps but ALL managers who go to Chelsea will be under the most intense scrutiny. I don't envy them.

well he did win them (very lucky and boring) the biggest honour money can buy.
RDM is a Chelsea legend and to be fair they are playing good football.

    On AVB aren't we lucky?
Boring and negative football is the order of the day.

True but for 80% of the season so far they have.
    I am only being honest.

80% is just an opinion. They weren't boring against Maribor were they? Look,I think all that Spurs need is a win and off they will jolly well go again. You have been warned.

AVB's (average bastard) sides are never boring, just inept due to a lack of tactics and no plan B by and large they play well but get no reward.

  11. Why not?

He got lucky in Europe, and completely fcuked up in the league. Do you think the Mad-Dog will be pleased if he fcuks up in Europe and the league this season?

Judging by tonight's performance, you didn't deserve to be playing them. Spurs should have been playing them. That is why we have the rule that only the top 4 teams in the EPL should go into the CL. Tonight, you showed the reason for that rule. I know you won't like that assessment, but for the truth of what I am saying I point to your performance.

And he certainly will not be your manager next season.

There is no "rule" that only the top 4 teams in the EPL should go into the CL, the FA choose which 4 teams represent them in the Champions League.

I like your manager and admire his approach, but what awful fans! Ignorant, arrogant, shrill, whiney and incapable of accepting the fact that their club isn't "big", it's just a club and at the moment the players aren't very special.

Just seen the ITV interview of Di Matteo, pretty disgraceful. RDM's job will always be at risk because Abramovich has too much of a say in the club and the reporter should have known better than to indulge in that and instead show the Champions League winner some respect. Willian looked brilliant again though in the shaktar game.

AVB had us playing some of the worst football we've seen since the 80s. He had the likes of Drogba, Lampard & Cole playing like muppets and the form of even the newer players like Ramires, Mata & Torres nosedived.

RDM can take credit, he went back to basics and got us playing deeper and in a 4-2-3-1, it was that switch that got us to win the CL. Were we lucky? Only in the 1st leg against Barca but everybody needs luck at some stage, no team hasn't had it. Look at Barca's most two recent wins and further back Liverpool/United.

Come off it! Torres form did not nosedive, he was awful from his last half season with Liverpool to now, can't blame AVB for that. Drogba, Lampard and Cole are getting old. Of course they are going to have dips in form, particularly if they get the hump cause they are dropped.

And you don't think you were lucky in the final as well? And in the second leg against Barca?

You seriously think Spurs would've fared better than us tonight?

    Off your head mate.

    1. I've never heard of anybody being lucky in 5 games but hey-ho

    2. Given the way Spurs embarrassed the PL the last time they were in the CL I disagree. Chelsea are a far better/more experienced side at the moment. Juve would have beaten any PL side in Turin as Shaktar would have in Donetsk. There will come a time when people stop buying into Sky's propaganda and realise the PL really ain't all it's hyped up to be. I know your Wumming but just stating my point.

    3. I'd agree, given the immediate gratification culture we have your right, but that's as obvious as tomorrow being Wednesday.
