Anyone else glad Celtic didn't do it today?

After watching a documentary which shows them singing IRA songs I just don't have any time for them.

    Come on Rangers!

  7. I like Celtic as they a bit like a long lost partner to us, but certainly don't condone those sort of songs! I wanted them to get through tonight but you've only just told me about the singing <ok>

I'd heard the rumours about the songs but after watching the documentary a considerable proportion do - and its their die hard fans too.

    Screw them I say.

To put the record straight it should be pointed out that Rangers 'fans' sing UVF and UDA songs Bow and The Rangers are in Scottish Division 3 not the CL.<whistle>

A plague on both of their houses. We don't need any of that crap infecting our clubs. It's been a long time since religion or nationalism had any major effect on Liverpool or Everton - AND LONG MAY IT REMAIN SO!

To deny that there has always ben a religious divide at the heart of the City would be ridiculous. However, we appear to have managed not to go down the same road as the Glasgow clubs.

I now delight in the fact that I went to the only CofE boys grammer school in Liverpool. Saturday morning would find me playing for the school often against catholic schools - and they could turn into battles! Saturday afternoon would find us all on The Kop singing the same songs and hugging when Liverpool scored. Puts it all into a true focus I think.

Page comes from one tradition, me from another and let;'s say CCC from no tradition at all. Yet we all come here to show our love for LFC and hopefully each other.

It's the fault of us Irish. It's our next biggest export after Guinness.

I think if we had just drank all the beer instead of selling it we'd have been too pissed to be sectarian.
