Spurs fans really are a bunch of trolls..Preying on others misfortune rather than accepting their own clubs frailties. Better team won tonight, but that is down to form not personnel. Chelsea need a striker and a new leader in defence and they will be a major European force. There also maybe a manager out there who can get more out of the players?
What are you yapping about Redbrynner? You don't think Chelsea fans do the same to Spurs fans? Do one pillock.
If Shak beat Juve and Chelsea beat the other team by 5 or 6 which they should as they won 0-4 away then Chelsea are through. It's not over yet is it and with Chelsea's luck, well who knows?
In that case Chelsea would have more points, so the goal difference is irrelevant. Even with a Juve draw, it would then be on head to head scores and again the number Chelsea win by is not relevant.
Yep,you're right. That was an oversight by me so I withdraw the comment. I'll have to look again and see what I was trying to say. Apologies.
Chelsea win by 1 and Shakhtar by 1 then we are through, but Juventus are very stubborn Two very lacklust performances away from home have cost us dearly, but the home draw with Juve was the real cherry on the cake
You're a stupid little troll Herbert, Brendan Rogers has no chance of being sacked and Liverpool improve with every game and might well finish above your bunch. I wouldn't be adverse to having a £5 wager at Ladbrookes that AVB (average bastard) will be the first to receive he's marching orders.
I think that's what I was trying to post JCC. If the others draw and Chelsea win by enough then they're through...........I think.
I will clear it up as much as possible Juventus and Shakhtar draw whilst Chelsea win = Chelsea out regardless of the result because Juve have a better head to head record, Shakhtar 1st, Juventus 2nd Juventus win and Chelsea win= Chelsea out as despite being on the same points as Shakhtar, they basically got more away goals when they scored 2 at the Bridge , Juventus 1st , Shakhtar 2nd Shakhtar win and Chelsea win = Chelsea through by virtue of having more points than Juventus, Shakhtar 1st, Chelsea 2nd There is now no possibility of both Chelsea and Juventus going through, Shakhtar are definitely through, this could be a problem for us as where is the motivation, qualification first doesnt really matter this year as even the 2nd teams pot will probably include Madrid, Milan, Arsenal and PSG Has anybody ever won the CL then the inferior competition the year after ????
Very depressing! Started well and gave as good as we got , but after the first goal we went backwards at a rate! Sorry to say it but without JT and Lamps we are going to struggle!
As far as I know, no because no one has ever failed to get out of the group stage the year after winning it.
Awful performance but if only Hazard would've scored the one on one who knows what could've happened. Cech pulled off some quality saves and the first goal was a very lucky goal, can't deny that. The second one however irritated me. Why Vidal, one of their midfield players can stroll up 20 odd yards out with nobody near him is embarrassing. Ramires tracked somebody in the box (not sure who) and Vidal is on the edge of the area with Mikel about 20 yards away, just in the picture, at least on my TV anyway. Absolutely shocking from somebody who is meant to be protecting of the defence. I know people say he always takes the stick when we got beat but that was shocking. We need two new players, a striker who can put the ball in the net and a real midfield general to partner Rami. I know he wasn't the best on the ball but the best of that game was when we were 2-0 down, they countered from a corner with Asamoah and he sprinted 60 odd yards to go and win the tackle. That's the kind of work rate we need in games like that however not enough players were prepared to do it.
