    Agree Syd.

If Gyan does want out it would be a good deal for both clubs.

Why would Spurs do this? If they are hell bent on qualifying for the CL next season, surely it would benefit them to have more strikers for rotational purposes? Even if they did do a swap, it would be 1 for 1, IMO.

I'm sure Quinn knows how a lot of people felt when B£nt left and would try his hardest to keep Gyan. He doesn't seem like the type of person who would demand a move and kick off until he got one. Although it's a sad fact that footballers now can change their minds in an instant if the money's right....

This is what I thought when I spoke to him last night, kinda seemed like he just wanted to get on and see what cracks off behind closed doors before making a decision.

Of course, we may be looking at this the wrong way, maybe the club want to cash in?

My memory might be hazy on this, but didn't he get played in to fire straight at their keeper early on.
Bent scored a hatful for us first season. he then put in a transfer request to go to Turkey. Would that have honestly improved his England chances??
The lad is full of Bull, he wanted more money, when he didn't get it, he stopped caring.
We didn't have Bent this season, all we had was a shadow of the Bent last season.

No, it isn't. Bent was our top scorer until about three weeks ago - and he hadn't played for us since January! He wasn't as prolific as last season because he'd lost the Jones partnership without getting a replacement (Gyan didn't come on stream till October). He was struggling against two and three defenders on his own - we were all saying it on 606 at the time.

must have been watching some other striker to me. what we said on 606 was that he was injured, not the same bent, did not seem to be sharp, missing chances he was taking the season before.
was it bent that was itting in a birmingham hotel before anything was agreed, could not wait to get there, could not wait to get away from us.

First of all I seriously hope Gyan does not want to leave, we took the gamble on him in bringing him to the prem so he should atleast stay another season, if he did leave though I would not blame the guy he is better than someone playing in a team worrying about relagation.

If its true and Spurs want him if I was Brucie and Quinny I would say to Arry and Levy give us Hutts, Palacios (ex Brucie signing who from time to time he raves about from there Wigan days) and 10m and we have a deal

That would give us 10m + the money from the Bent deal to go and bring in 2class strikers and 2 good back ups

Come off it. he just didn't care anymore. He couldn't even raise a smile when Welbeck scored against Bolton.
He did have the chances he just wasn't taking them anymore, Granted he knocked in a decent penna every now and then.

We'll never know for sure. It dosen't do any harm to entertain someone else's opinion though.

One thing is for sure though - our season took a dramatic U turn after he was sold.

With so much transfer activity in the summenr I think it is an opportune time to change the manager and allow the new bloke to assemble his own side
