We take a look at Fernando Torres' long barren run after it finally came to an end with his strike in Chelsea's 3-0 win over West Ham. January 26, Liverpool 1 Fulham 0 (Premier League) With speculation over his future mounting, Torres plays his last 90 minutes for Liverpool and hits the post in the build-up to the winning goal, causing John Pantsil to slice into his own net. February 6, Chelsea 0 Liverpool 1 (Premier League) Fate brings Liverpool to Stamford Bridge for Torres' debut following his ã50million switch. Torres is taunted by the away supporters throughout and lasts only 66 minutes as his former employers have the last laugh through a goal from Raul Meireles. February 14, Fulham 0 Chelsea 0 (Premier League) Starts in place of Didier Drogba but wastes every opportunity to come his way. The Spaniard cannot control a ball from David Luiz when clean through and heads over a cross from Ramires when well positioned. Drogba replaces him with 19 minutes left. February 22, FC Copenhagen 0 Chelsea 2 (Champions League second round, first leg) Starts the match at Old Trafford with Chelsea 1-0 down from the first leg, but lasts just 45 minutes before being replaced by Drogba, who scores for the visitors but is unable to prevent a 3-2 aggregate defeat. April 12, Man Utd 2 Chelsea 1 (Champions League quarter-final, second leg) The drought finally ends, funnily enough on a sodden pitch which almost ruins the 84th-minute chance the substitute curls into the corner with his left foot. April 23, Chelsea 3 West Ham 0
Torres goal was a one two with a puddle!!! He'll score more though -always like to see his goals (except that one )
I hope he scores on Sunday and ties Vidic in knots and Vidic gets sent off(again). There is one thing I'm greatful for, that Fat Sham is no longer manager of Blackburn and when United go to Ewood,Blackburn won't roll over for United a week on saturday.
