about 15% of me feels sorry for Chops. The other 85% thinks he is no good at all to a football team. Since he has stopped gambling his form has dropped off and he looks a shadow of the player he was at Cardiff.
What I'd give for Marcus Stewart to still be playing for us We haven't had a clever striker with his instincts (on the pitch) since he left..
People seem to forget how shocking he was at one on ones when he was with us. A good striker yes but could and should have scored buckets more than he did given the service he had and his ridiculous pace for this division Marcus Stewart was different class
A bit harsh considering Benty was young and relatively inexperienced at the time. I agree Stewie was class and he gave me many happy days especially Bolton away!
I am with JWM 100% on the original thread here...give the man a chance, and under MM's astute man management skills and no nonsense he just may come good anddo the business for us. God only knows we need it!
Darren Bent still misses one on ones. I'd say technically stewart was a better player but Bent had the instinct and also the confidence that he'd score despite missing alot of sitters. Stewart was cool under pressure and was very good when he had time to think. Bent was/isn't great when he has time but there's noone better when he relys on instinct!! They're completely different players but both great in their own way!!
Well done Norwich person about the " likes a drink " article, literally hilarious! All clubs have that aspect. How about Chris Martin for you for example !?
I could list a few City players who have had their problems, Damien Francis and Leon McKenzie a few years back instantly spring to mind, the fact is it's swings and roundabouts and I'm sure every club will have their idiots and if they currently don't the law of averages means they will do soon.
yes, but i'm guessing you are not a professional footballer who requires to be fully fit and focused to do his/her job? incredibly, just today, yet another incident is brought to the publics attention of one of your players (allegedly) assaulting bar staff. kopr - point taken about the city players but do you also notice that these players off-pitch misdemeanours occurred in a year we were relegated? likewise, when we had issues with sutton and bradshaw - relegated. pattison and a numbers of others in 2009 - relegated. off-pitch issues, whether you think it tosh or not, often effect what happens on the pitch. how can you have team chemistry under your current circumstances?
