Or am I being a bit harsh?
Where do you think he'll end up? I would not be surprised to see him sitting next to Scot Sinclair on Cities bench next season on a whopping £120,000 per week.
Nice seeing Arsene squirm a bit though.

I think it is harsh to assume it's all about money. The lad just wants to be playing regularly up front.

What would be more harsh, would be that we actually have a 10% sell on fee & the little bugger leaves for nothing!

I might be a bit down on him, but all the noises he makes suggests to me that he won't sign, he knows he can more than double any Arsenal offer in the summer.

He rejected an offer of £75k from Arsenal. I don't think anyone will offer him £150k unless it's City, but if he wants regular football as a striker, he won't go there. I bet he goes somewhere like Liverpool, and they pay him no more than Arsenal would have.

I thought he had been linked to Liverpool which might be attractive to him. Sadly due to things like Prem/Champs League home grown rules, an English reserve bench warmer is a pretty valuable commodity for multi-zillionaire sides. So a move to City or Chelsea might not be far off.

He's coming home to form a deadly tandem with Rickie, as part of a swap deal of Guly, Chaplow and 2.5mill for Walcott and Chamberlain. Then we're gonna pick up Gareth Bale, Drew Surman, Delap and Rudi Skacel all on the cheap and re-unite the old gang. And then Le Tiss is going to have a Puncheon-like make-up love session with Nicola and come out of retirement, working harder and getting fitter than he ever did in his old playing days.

*EDIT* I got a bit carried away there didn't I? And BD beat me to the punch the bugger...

It would be pretty sad if he left because of the 'playing through the middle' problem......then signed for Man City. He'd lose a lot of respect in the football world if he did that.

I'm struggling to think of a side that would play Walcott as striker and be able to play his wages. Suppose he'd most suit playing for Swansea as they like to hit plenty of through balls and he has electric pace with a decent finish. But they aren't going to be able to afford him and he's not going to want to go there. I expect he'll end up sticking with Arsenal. There's no point him going to Liverpool really. Suarez will definitely play striker and Walcott will have to play as a winger which he doesn't want.

Still think he never got enough games when he left us which I think has been detrimental to his development. Probably biased in the fact that I think he should of spent another season with us in championship to man him up!! Saw theo play many times for our youth team and thought he would be a top top player. He's a good premiership player but I don't think he'll fulfill his true potential, maybe his dad/money is his motivation.

Can't imagine City would ever sign him. They have too many strikers already which is causing a bit of unrest.

He is a Liverpool fan at heart,so he might be tempted there.....but no champions league.
I think he will stay at arsenal unless Liverpool bid and sell to him that champions league is a realistic target.

He's a Liverpool fan isn't he? Maybe that's what he wants.

Clearly just his agent doing his job. I bet Theo is happy to stay and he probably doesn't know anything about the contract negotiations.

I really genuinely believe him when he says it's not about the money, I don't think it ever has been for Theo. He just wants to play upfront bless him.

Wouldn't it be so good if it was true that he's not interested in money and resigned for us! Not gonna happen but such a pleasing thought - with the added bonus of getting one over on AW. It would be simply too wonderful to ever happen...

If he were to come to us I don't think the money would be an issue, I don't think he'd be on ten grand a week. The step down from Champions League to relegation battlers would be the more pressing issue, even if he still does have a strong affection for us.

Money certainly would be an issue if reports he's turned down £75k/week are true.
