There are some worrying similarities. Both talented but injury-prone, trouble-prone, and with an exaggerated idea of their own abilities. Razak was said to have been recalled because of injury, but I notice City didn't waste much time naming him on the bench the following week. Talking about BS excuses, has any one got the real story on Hollands fall from grace and supposed injured toe? He is a player I would rather see in a Charlton shirt than any short-term loanee, but only if fit and in the right frame of mind.
I wondered why a certain section of our posters seemed excessively keen to welcome him to the club. All is now explained. Bring back Danny Hollands, father of triplets!
We know what happened to them, but what happened to Danny Hollands the buccaneering midfielder who would dominate midfield?
Completely off topic, but from Cawleys feed - Leon Mckenzie has a book coming out. Now I know it's not a name to get excited about, but I imagine the chapter on his Charlton career will be interesting, if not alarming. Think I might pick up a copy purely just to see what he says about that time. And just to make this post relevant to the thread: DENCH
Was waiting for someone to pick up on that super, we're gonnna be massive a DENCH team with frimpong innit...
Leon McKenzie, another musical Addick. The Charlton chapters will be very interesting indeed, and alarming. Is it my imagination or has he been jailed recently for a couple of years ?
Dench - there is a tenuous link between the saintly thesp and our beloved club. In the film Notes on a Scandal, her character is talking to a Spurs fan and utters the immortal line - "My Father supported Charlton Athletic. I believe it gave him very little pleasure." I was laughing so much, I had to hit the pause button.
