Isn't this the most predictable thing ever? After weeks of dropping points, the scousers win a match at home. Against Wigan which is that most unpredictable of teams when playing away: either has a good game (narrow win 1-0 or a draw against a top side) or totally falling apart and thrashed (Chelsea, Spurs etc in the past).

As night follows day, all football fans knew that they would claim they are now going to be top four and get into champions league <laugh> What next? after their next win, they will win the premiership title...(for the first time <whistle>) No wonder they are called the most deluded team and fans in teh world <whistle>

They are their own worst enemy. Why do they do it? Surely one good win against Wigan (of all teams !!) is surely not enough to draw any solid conclusions. But no, Carragher is the typical scouser, optimistic and deluded to a fault and inviting the derision of the whole football world. We can get into the champions league, he says...On their website, the scousrs fans are making all sorts of assertions about how good their team is and how high they will finish...

Delusion and psychosis ...synonymous with the scousers <whistle>

I know, perhaps if we had slaughtered the giant that is Norwich we could perhaps have a case, oh yea we did....

Cherish your PL trophy from the season before last, you won't see another in quite some time

This is where the scousers have had 2 decades of pain <ok>

First when Blackburn won the title, the scousers jumped for joy and said " you are not winning titles again for a very long time "

Then when Arsenal won the title, the scousers said again (not having learnt their lesson): " you are not winning titles again for a very long time"

Then when Chelsea won the title, the scousers again said (as deluded as ever): "Roman will make Chelsea invincible. you are not wiinning titles again for a very long time"

Classical symptom of delusion and ******edness: Inability to learn from their mistakes.

And now City has won the title: "Cherish your PL trophy from the season before last, you won't see another in quite some time"

Delusion and plenty of pain to come for the scousers. <whistle>

Thus City are the dominant force in Manchester? Absolutely NOBODY is mentioning league titles, for years to come anyway. The majority of us will be pleased with equalling last season's eighth place: but Carra IS right in that fourth , like last year, is up for grabs in that Arsenal and Spurs are inconsistent, WBA are last season's Newcastle - will they last the season? They have a sound manager in Clarke, that's for sure. Everton have their best side in decades, but the fixture list has been kind to them so far and they have City, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal to play in the next six weeks: we'll know more then.

Unless ALL the above collapse, the idea of Liverpool getting fourth is far-fetched, but the Wigan result at Anfield is no surprise and some relief that eventually some team got what they deserved instead of jammy misses, various woodwork strikes and dodgy refereeing like you benefitted from at Anfield this season (and have indeed against the Wigan side that you deride every season you've played them at OT).

And by the way, make your stupid mind up. When Liverpool fans say they accept eighth place you write hysterical articles that Liverpool and Rodgers are a spent force. When one of its players (rightly) points out that fourth place may still be up for grabs (for half the league, not just us) you label it as deluded. With you clinical obsession of Liverpool, would it not be a bit too much to ask for a tad of consistency?
